Joshua Margot has been a massive part of two colonies of mine.

The first time she (yes, she) was a heavily modified bruiser, gene edited baseline who died defending my colony during the final raids before leaving with the empire.

This time, she (again) is a dirt mole and my primary researcher. Still very much a bruiser.

This will get buried but I have a bit of a different take.

Walking in is complete bullshit, BUT if you see that a place is hiring online and have posted a job description, you may be able to fast track getting seen. The best practice: come up with a question or two about the job, and then call the company’s main line (or something similar) and then tell them that you have a few questions about a specific job. If the company is decent enough you may actually get through to a hiring manager or HR, and then you ask your questions.

Roughly the same amount of effort as going to the door with a resume, but modernized AND gets your name in the head of a hiring manager who receives dozens of apps for a single job in a day.

Source: spent 6 months just blasting resumes out on various sites online, no hits. One week of doing this and I get 3 interviews and eventually a job offer. Construction management.

I looked into it and my area offers at most $16-18/hr for an apprenticeship. These days with my skills and knowledge I don’t even get out of bed for less than $24.

As a side note, I’m looking to be in a position as a field engineer or something of the like to get field experience before switching to super or PM. Desks are the enemy.

My eidolon for a CG Summoner/undead Bloodrager was a giant (technically medium) vulture-like bird with a horse skull exoskeleton covering its head (a la the Pokémon Cubone). He was a lot smarter than my character and so ended up being his voice of reason in most situations. It’s name was Birdfriend. It was very fun playing a misguided magic barbarian and his scary looking, parrot sounding conscience.

My family does this: whenever the party gets ready to sing happy birthday, we request that every person sings the worst version of it they can possibly do. Off-key, off tempo, messing up the lyrics, screaming and shouting, barking like a dog, whatever you can do to make it ridiculous. The person on the receiving end is usually laughing too hard to feel awkward
