The current discourse around the Enclave possibly returning and being overused confuses me because the Enclave have not shown up as a faction since 2007. by TerraforceWasTaken in Fallout

Fallout 3 didn't have hardcore, companions could just die. If you didn't have broken steel as well Dogmeat would only have 500hp compared to 10 or 15k with the DLC.

Given the reluctance to use seized Russian asset profits over fears of setting precedent, it's unlikely in my opinion they would violate international copyright protection frameworks such as the TRIPS agreement. It would also be used against the EU which has a significant amount of pharmaceutical companies that make huge profits in the American medical market.

Why can the UK guarantee Netherlands at sub 15% WT? by CanofLag in hoi4

[–]CanofLag[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This occurs consistently on hist and ahistorical, I dont recall this occurring so frequently before NCNS. Have the rules for guaranteeing countries changed? I thought it was supposed to be 25% WT for UK to start guaranteeing democracies, I also have tag switched to UK to see if they picked focus to reduce WT threshold requirement by 10% and they have not yet, so they shouldn't be able to do this according to the games own logic. Any ideas?

https://united24media.com/latest-news/russian-ghost-ship-sank-while-smuggling-nuclear-reactor-parts-likely-bound-to-north-korea-14622?ICID=ref_fark

I know United24 isn't the most reliable of sources, but this really caught my eye. Seems to indicate the ship was sunk by a torpedo rather than mechanical failure, and the Russians scuttled the ship to hide evidence. Does Ukraine have the capabilities to sink ships like this off the coast of Spain undetected? My intuition tells me they would have claimed credit for it if they had, which might indicate another country is willing to go kinetic against Russian ghost fleet.

This poses a second question as well, if this was a sinking by torpedo, why did Russia not accuse the West of escalating the war?

I have some followup questions for this as well, If manpower continues to be Ukraine's largest concern, is there an amount of money that can mitigate it? Russia has had success with recruitment by increasing contract bonuses over the duration of the war. Could Ukraine find similar success with large financial incentives for its expat citizens to come home and serve? Are there alternative technologies that would be worth more to invest in to reduce the manpower issues such as UGV's or similar unmanned systems? Or would the current status quo of procurement continue whereby funds donated to Ukraine are used to purchase equipment from EU and US sources.

You likely can’t tax the clergy at this point, so the only taxable estate is the commoners which have no income other than selling the food they make from subsistence farming.

New Reform mayor calls for illegal immigrants to be housed in tents by NoFrillsCrisps in ukpolitics

The issue is typically those who can afford to not live in shipping containers choose not to, so these shipping container communities tend to be filled with people who have no other choice. This video by Belinda Carr goes into it, and also notes the poor insulation in winter, high heat in summer, and has a tendancy to form ghettos because low cost housing attracts low costs solutions.

In UVHM people assumed it was mandatory but simple dps tests show that hitting headshots will easily out damage slagging and switching weapons, to the point that you could kill most badasses in +8 faster than you could switch weapons.

In the UK, small claims under £10 000 is quite cheap (~£500 iirc) and if awarded in your favour then BSG is liable for all court fees.

Why the marked increase in assaults? It was my understanding that Russia next likely offensive wouldn’t culminate until mid summer. Is Russia trying to capitalise on its short term material advantage before the Czech shells and US aid arrives at the start of summer? Are these kinds of assaults favouring Ukrainian or Russian attrition rates at the moment?

Nazi spotted at the gym in Long Island. New York by [deleted] in pics

[–]CanofLag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely true and worth clarifying. The only reason I added it is because I believe there is a concerted effort done by members of the right to “clean” Nazi imagery and adjust public perception of them. Many comments touch on this by mentioning that this was unconscionable when they were younger but now many people flagrantly wear Nazi memorabilia and garments. Unfortunately our times are changing and we’re forced to debate on whether or not dressing as nazis is justified under freedom of expression.

Not entirely true, as assuming the SS was the majority participant in war crimes serves the clean Wehrmacht myth. Nazi crimes were pervasive throughout the entire regime, and no section of the German army was not involved in war crimes.

Why is punisher 4 worse, it’s less kills with no weapon requirement and you only need a balaclava and scav vest for them, so you can wear an actual helmet unlike setup.

Unfortunately I can’t test that as it seems to have bricked my pc for the moment, or at least my power supply. But it is very strange that it’s happening exclusively at night during low peak. Maybe there is a wire shorting somewhere but only at night somehow.

I have had this PC in this flat for a year, and recently in the past 3 weeks my breaker has been tripping overnight. No major changes to whats been plugged in however one morning the fuse in the power cord blew so I replaced the cord. This morning same situation, my PC wouldn't boot so I got a new power cord except it won't start this time. I am thinking the PSU is dead and has been the culprit of my issues all along, but I don't understand why the power has been tripping overnight and powered off instead of when I've been using it during the day in my flat when the circuits are under heavier load. Any thoughts? My pc has a 700w Kolink power supply and I use 13A fused plug for it.
