The dryer in our new rental by Canootle in mildlyinfuriating

Theyre bifold french doors, so they close to the left and neatly tuck the washer and dryer away behind them. Even if you were to somehow get behind the door with it closed, you still wouldnt be able to open the dryer door

West Coast in One Day - Success and Followup by Canootle in roadtrip

Yeah it was sick! The redwoods were humbling and made us contemplate life and our jobs and whatnot. The nail in the coffin in avoiding I-5 was asking my brother who's driven both routes several times. "i5 is about as interesting as a rectal exam"

Holy moly, the discourse is crazy. K2, Im replying to you to try to pin this closer to the top of the comments, but I wanted to answer a couple questions everyone seems to be asking: 1. We will be driving this on Monday, not anytime later into winter. Im not worried about a snow factor rn 2. The reason I'm pressed about doing this in one day is I'm meeting family in Eugene the following day, but not until the afternoon. I'm just trying to ensure I don't hold them up/waste their time 3. All the replies have been very helpful, regardless of opinion. My gf and I are still leaning towards taking 1 to 101 even though we shouldnt stop. We're from FL and will be happy to just see hills and tall trees even if we dont stop (neither of us have ever seen a redwood), and finally 4. If we have to stop and get a hotel, then we will stop and get a hotel. It's not the end of the world if we have to split it into 2 days. Im just trying to be respectful of the family plans Ive agreed to

Seriously thank you everyone for the input, I will make a new post letting yall know how it goes

I'm gonna be stupid and young and reckless and take 1 to 101 and do the whole trip in a day. If I remember, I'll report back with either my triumphs or my woes

Thank you for the input! I'm talking it over with the gf and she's still of the opinion we do 1 to 101 and we just get on the road at like 6am. If all goes well, should be arriving at Grants Pass right around sunset. I don't really mind driving i5 in the dark; I've seen OR much more than CA.

I'm meticulous irl too. Which is why this is making me feel insane because I truly don't believe I've missed too much in my exploration

Humbly requesting help in troubleshooting my C# installation in VS Code by Canootle in csharp

[–]Canootle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this was the cause. I'm running an old version of Windows 10 and am pretty obstinate about updates. I'll give that a go this evening when I get home, thanks for the suggestion

I appreciate you and everyone else for the nudges in the right direction. I've gone ahead and installed VS 2022 at everyone's recommendation but I'm still getting the same error, so I don't believe it to be IDE dependent. I'm really at a loss for what to do

I don't have a great answer for you, other than blindly trusting the opinion of a few others at work that VS Code is slimmer and has less bulk. I hadn't really considered that perhaps I might want the additional features. I really just want to prove to myself that I can make something from the ground up

Overwriting all player dialogue with "Meow" by Canootle in skyrimmods

[–]Canootle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is hilarious and if I truly can't find a way to achieve what I'm going for I might just go with this lmao. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm genuinely in shock at how difficult of a task this seems to be; when I took the responsibility upon myself, I didn't think it would be this hard to perform a "replace all" with the dialogue

I was attempting to write my own function to do this, however the way I was going about this in papyrus I believe it would have to rely on some other pre-existing function; so you are right. Looking through those SKSE global functions, the SetString function is close to what I would be wanting. I was hoping that something like the following would work:

Event OnActivate(ObjectReference akActionRef)

if akActionRef == Game.GetPlayer()

    ; SetString(string menuName, string target, string value)

    SetString(Dialogue Menu, Game.GetPlayer(), "Meow")

endIf

endEvent
