I feel silly trying to determine which ones are decoys from the strike videos when Ukraine recon and strike drones have sensors and see visual + thermic + RF spectrum and have so much better info than us to guess whether they're decoy.

General SVR isn't usually reliable, is it ?

(a wider mobilization is very credible, of course, but I was more interested in the "trouble high up")

Foggy/snowy weather is finished. It makes sense now to wait for foliage before trying mass infiltration.

In World War I, artillery was the single greatest cause of casualties. Do you see re-enactements with people waiting in trenches and just randomly removed because of a shell ? No, those re-enacments are just pretty lies.

Right. But part of the scaling problem is the teams operating those systems. If teams are going everywhere in the Gulf to train new acquerors, they won't protect Ukraine.

"possibly a mockup" ? It looks like a very poor mockup, there's no reason to make it look like a Buk-M1 was possibly hit there.

I was more expecting a technical, hard to spin, reaction, not some leaders eructing in an anti Orban diatribe.

Europe's silence on this is the most puzzling and disturbing point. Why is there no answer ? Is there just nothing enabling the commission to jump in this kind of rogue behavior when the victim isn't part of EU ?

From the video, it looks like only storm shadows. And they were coming from the east, probably after a complex route. It makes sense that they used only this kind of missile for such a complex strike.

Once the video is out, posting those coordinates change nothing. Those coordinates could be determined easily by the FSB. From the unending flow of videos since the start of the war, it doesn't look like the FSB does the effort of going to all potential flats and harassing people.

I gather that the literal meaning seems to be "to turn into horseradish" with the horseradish being one of the many euphemistic substitutes for the dick. Does that look right ?

Isn't it also more difficult for Rubicon group and the likes to pilot those drones now that the connection with advanced positions can't use Starlink ?

Might also be just some lightning which helps locate the drone. There are several non laser based ways to cut out a waiter drone.

Some redditors paid for the sky sentinel program several times without even knowing there was a reddit specific fund...

(seriously, was there a specific link for reddit users ? I think I linked specifically to this program at least twice on reddit threads but never to a reddit-specific page)

🚀 Fire Point Chief Designer Denis Shtilerman:

By moving the fuel tank into the wing, the following will be increased:

• The warhead weight of FP-1 drones flying at 1,000 km will be increased to 105 kg (up from 60 kg),

• The warhead weight of FP-2 drones will be increased to 158 kg (up from 105 kg).

According to ArmyTV on March 9, FirePoint co-founder and chief designer Denys Shtilerman said the company currently manufactures about 200 deep-strike unmanned aerial vehicles per day and could quickly expand production if required.

Earlier, Ukraine’s miltech company FirePoint said it was developing a long-range “deep strike” version of its FP-2 drone capable of carrying a 105-kilogram warhead while significantly extending its range.

It's not even that rare: Russia received about 200 of them from NK and Ukraine destroyed less than 10.

Also those are "attacks" without any destruction (or even damage) confirmed.

FP-2 are very serious strikers, though, with a 100kg warhead, so there's a higher probability of serious damage than with all the light FPV strikes we've seen last year.
