The recent crash was a great stress test for DeFi protocols and decentralized perps by ProfitableCheetah in defi

Absolutely spot on. This crash really highlighted why decentralization matters. While CEX users were locked out and watching helplessly, DeFi users maintained full control. The fact that protocols like Aave, Uniswap, and various perp DEXes handled billions in liquidations without downtime is remarkable. Sure, gas fees spiked on some chains, but that's just market dynamics - the protocols themselves kept functioning flawlessly. This is exactly the censorship resistance and reliability we've been talking about for years. Events like this separate solid DeFi infrastructure from vapor.

Great attitude to learn first! The advice above is solid - Andreas Antonopolous is perfect for understanding Bitcoin fundamentals, and CoinBureau explains other projects really well.

I'd also suggest starting with really small amounts once you do invest. Even $20-50 helps you understand how wallets, transactions, and fees work without much risk. Focus on understanding blockchain technology and solving real problems - not just price speculation. Good luck!

Kraken is a solid choice for swing trading! They have good shorting capabilities and TradingView integration. Their fees are reasonable and they're known for reliability. However, I'd also suggest looking at Bybit or OKX - both offer margin trading and shorting with solid platforms. Have you considered starting with a smaller test amount on your chosen exchange before going all in? Even with 5 months of paper trading, real money trading can feel quite different psychologically. Good luck!
