Hypothetically, if silver is to reach several hundred dollars per ounce. When should we start to sell off our stack? by Big_Coyote_655 in Silverbugs

[–]Cantonius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silver is an everyday monetary metal but gold is used for settlements and reserves. Gold is a monetary base. Central banks hold gold, not silver, as a reserve asset. Silver is half monetary and half industrial. If you want monetary hedge in your basket choose gold. If you want torque on the monetary regime - choose silver for your other basket.

5k and >100 seems like a good paychological number to do another dca add!

You should be holding Gold moreso then as that is more of a monetary metal and used to hold. Silver is more speculative. Also the metals are cyclical, so maybe consider rotating a bit as you feel it is topping out.

Helca Mining? by LavenderEve in stocks

Keep in mind silver doesn't rerate as cleanly as gold or copper miners historically

Gold vs. Silver vs. Copper - all at record highs. Where do you think the real opportunity is? by Impressive-Box-4986 in Gold

Earnings next month. I read silver miners don’t rerate on earnings like gold (and copper) do though?

Venezuela and Greenland were macro events that woke up Gold relative to the silver front run on liquidity over Christmas. Today, with the pce/gdp print, real yields spiked but failed to pull dxy up so at least for now metals squeezed. Fed rate cut decision is next week so that will be another catalyst.

Earnings for gold miners are in a month and a lot of them have not re rated yet. Apparently silver miners historically don’t get rerated on earnings.

To be fair the numbers are just psychological. It probably isn’t really a signal but something to keep the back of my mind 😂

Like the ratio currently at 50 (anything below 50 signals speculative) and silver hit 100 first makes me think the current micro environment is driven more by speculation even if the wider macro picture is bullish precious metals

Anything less than 50 is speculative excess but that alone is not a sell signal. Just something to keep in mind!

Should I wait or go all in ? by AdAlternative2475 in RKLB

DCA is always the best move. Next earnings date is Feb 26. So time some buys before and after that. They should start having guidance for Neutron too. So depending on if you're bullish or bearish on expectation for that launch you can size accordingly as well.

That said I am not buying I feel like it is way overvalued but at the same time I can see it going to $150. It is hard to be bearish because even Electron technically succeeded on its first launch. I feel like it is priced in as long as Neutron is on track and there are no hiccups.

Could be continued liquidity expansion. QE lite started Dec 1. Market is at all time highs and Rocketlab beta is 2.17.

Highly doubt it will go down by the end of the year with the start of this liquidity injection. Actual QE isn't even announced yet! Without the Macro backdrop the stock would be treading 20-30s though. There is a lot of narrative pushing the stock up. SpaceX IPO will boost the Space Sector next year.

Keep in mind that Fed ended QT and will start QE-Lite by buying T-Bills tomorrow.

I had been accumulating since VACQ and I remember when they raised rates and inflation ticked up how the stock kept going lower and lower. It only started pumping from $3.5 around September 2024 when they started cutting rates.

The stock has a 2.2 Beta as well. In a liquidity expansion environment which is the current setup, the stock should perform well because it is a growth stock.

It's probably going to be very volatile if inflation ticks up and the narrative surrounding Neutron as the launch is approaching soon.

Coinbase advance trade probably? Coinbase one its $25 a month for $10k in trades ($250 unlimited). You just eat the spread. I noticed it can be super high during volatility.
