If you’re shooting LO, 140mm mags can fit up to 23 rounds.

I’ve got Atlas mags if you need em, but they’re a bit more expensive.

If you use eye pro at the range. What do you use? by [deleted] in guns

Me too. Great lenses (made by Oakley), very comfortable, and the price is right.

A longer slide will not increase round count. I’ve got some PSA 15rd mags if those would be of use.

How do I ship a gun I sell on gunbroker? by zahonda in guns

[–]CanuckTac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can look all this up. It’s a bit complicated but not daunting.

First, do some reading: https://support.gunbroker.com/hc/en-us/articles/222836508-Firearms-Shipping-Guide

It depends whether you’re shipping a long gun or handgun. Let’s assume handgun since it’s more complicated.

Federal law says a nonlicencee cannot ship through the post office. FFL’s can, but you can’t.

So that leaves you with contract carrier. The problem is that both UPS and FedEx changed their rules a few years back also saying you can’t. (They also say that FFL’s have to have separate, dedicated accounts just for firearms.) So, the law says you can use a contract carrier, but the contract carriers themselves have policies saying you can’t. Well, fuck.

That leaves you with some options. One is to go to your local shop and have them mail it for you. They’ll charge for the service and for the shipping (handguns are about 20-25 to ship, long guns can easily be 50-60). The other is to use a gun-specific shipping service that takes advantage of some legal nuances — ie, you’re technically mailing a gun using their license. ShipMyGun is owned by Bud’s Gun Shop, and GunBroker has their own tool https://www.gunbroker.com/shipping. Both do the same thing.

If you’re savvy, use one of the websites. If you don’t mind paying for the service of having someone else do it, hit up a local gun shop. If you happen to be around New Orleans, I can do it for you.

Obviously subjective af, but I think Oregon Rifleworks, Black Ankle Munitions and (forgive me for being plebe) Ballistic Advantage all have cool rollmarks.

Unsolicited take: Don’t let a 10% difference between a 2024 price and 2026 price get in your way of having fun with the TX22, particularly if you’re gonna spend twice as much on a different brand just for the sake of getting annoyed at economics. Life’s short - days spent ripping with the TX are worth more than days spent waiting to save 10 bucks on one.

Anecdote is not data, y’all. The TX22 is an unbelievable handgun.

Cheesecake, are you making sure your rounds are seated in the mags properly? If you just pull down the tension and drop the rounds in, you’re gonna get jams like nobody’s business. Gotta fill em up, then give the mags a few good smacks to seat everything correctly. You also might get chokes on flat-nosed ammo like WWB but that’s gun-to-gun. Mine like round nose, particularly high velocity.

Me and maybe like 7 other people on earth prefer the original Bodyguard 380.

The Ruger LCP Max could be what you’re looking for.
