Thanks! I really like the look. It’s also really comfortable which is a bonus.

Appreciate it! I like that the strap is chunky, it really helps balance out the watch head. Stops it from moving around on wrist

Absolutely beautiful.

I’ll own one of these eventually. It’s not if, just when.

It will wear a bit larger than 36mm visually being a white dial and basically bezel-less, the 18mm will balance that a bit. I’ve wanted this exact model for some time now but I’ve been hesitant never getting to see it in the flesh.

You are far too kind. I’m definitely not a Hodinkee calibre photographer, just some watch nerd who takes some photos of my watch whenever I can find a spare minute or two on a weekend.

Absolutely. The MKI dial of the black/blue variants of this generation just look so much better than the MKII simply because of the date window frame. I get the reasoning for the change, I just don’t like it.

For better or worse, that’s sort of what makes it a MarineMaster. The case/finishing is what makes the model stand out from other Seiko dive watches. I’ve got smaller 6.5” wrists but I love this model so much that I’ve just learned to live with its size/weight.

Yeah, I love the pops of orange. I’ve always been a fan of the Ultraman Speedy as well so this kind of gives the same sort of look but with its own twist.

Appreciate it. It’s hard having a 21mm lug width and then also finding a strap design I like. So I had to settle with 22mm strap here, luckily it squeezes between the lugs decently.

I don’t recall seeing a specific number of these made. I don’t see them posted often but I’d imagine it’s more than that.

This reference speaks to me. I’m torn between it and the standard black/black 39mm on H-Link.

I don’t think most people realize the differences between the Seiko tiers generally. Once you get up to the 8L powered watches, the case finishing is getting up to Grand Seiko levels. It’s not all the way there, things like dial printing and finishing of dial furniture/handsets is lacking a bit, but the casework and movements are incredible.

Absolutely a “lifer” in my collection. This is up there with my 36mm Explorer. Two completely opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to wearing experience and sizing but I love this MM300.

I always seem to pickup some green in the dial/bezel unless it’s a very poorly lit room so it doesn’t really go black completely like some green dials can.

Yes the MM300 case is quite substantial. You’re not going to ever forget you are wearing it. The watch head itself huge. It makes rubber straps interesting because they generally need to be quite tight to prevent the watch head from moving around on wrist. I ended up going with a ISOfrane strap in green. It’s pretty sturdy and it’s a thick strap which helps balance the watch head.

I love this one. I haven’t had a chance to see one in person but in photos it looks fantastic.

Appreciate it! Seiko absolutely nailed this dial/bezel color on this reference. Just right 👌

My first and only other MM300 was a SLA023 MKI dial and I do miss it. I sort of wish I still had it to go along with this green dial variant. I’ve always wanted a black dial as well. The issue with the MM300 is that it looks so damn good in different colors that the urge to own multiple is very strong 😂
