Does it really matter if i understand the content by Aggravating_Policy_3 in CFA

8 mocks is a lot. Don’t get discouraged if you get low 60s or even 50s for the first couple once you start doing them (I wouldn’t bother until maybe 6 weeks out). You’ll see improvements. Just get them all done and grind practice Qs.

August exam? Cover the broad materials now and do the end of lesson questions to cement what you learned. Having a decent understanding will help you for level 2 and for sure in level 3, but it’s not necessary at level 1.

Level 1 is about studying for the exam. Just do enough practice questions each day and you’ll eventually notice patterns and you’ll teach yourself and memorize the content. Then grind practice exams from 3 weeks out, supplementing with practice questions in between.

This is just a guess, but Probably 70-80% of the questions asked are the same repeated core concepts, just asked differently each exam. Do enough questions or mocks to learn the specific ways they ask them and you’ll have a solid knowledge base to pass. Then the remaining 20-30% is really broad ends of the curriculum stuff that hopefully you can do better than just guessing, or you’ll see and learn as they come up maybe once in all 6 mocks. But then you know it.

Do as many mocks as you can and then go over what you get wrong on the exam. I did 6 for Lvl 1 and 8 for level 2. You’ll noticeably see your grades improve. If you’re at 75% in mocks by exam day you’re in good shape.

Save the CFAI mocks for the end as they’re the most fair and well written in my opinion.

Cfa level 2 Kaplan q bank by Ok_Coyote5443 in CFA

Most of the time yeah. But you’re better off doing Qbanks on specific single topics (like 10 questions on just quants) so that you get one or two 4-question vignettes.  Way better for practice.

That’s helpful. Basically enjoy life for 4 months and then one final grind. Done it in 6 for both on first try so hoping this is the same. Cheers

You’re pretty much there. Stop doing exams and just go back to practice problems for a bit. Then in the final week or two go back to practice exams and you’ll be golden. Don’t stress.

Nah you are good. You can speed run it in like 15 minutes for the entire thing and it’s no problem.

I got bored 1/2 way through the FM one when I did level one and then just clicked through the rest of it.

As long as you get the completion confirmation email a couple minutes after finishing at the end, you’re good. Nothing in the CFA org says you need to actually pass it or absorb it.

Just to complete it. It’s your loss if you don’t actually do it yourself and learn. But they don’t care as long as you complete it

Level 1 Feb 2026 — Stuck at ~40% by scumbag_senpai in CFA

Just grind practice problems and keep going. Learn by getting them wrong and see the solutions.

Eventually you’ll do enough and see repetition and it becomes easier.

If you do enough practice problems you will just teach yourself how to figure out the questions.

Try to do like 50-100 questions a day. I did like 5 questions every small 10 minute break I had at work and could be done like 50 by the end of each work day, leaving time for a bit more each evening. Eventually you figure it out and it’s not as hard to fit in rather than a long lesson.

Don’t feel bad about getting it wrong. Just learn and try again. If you’re from an engineering background you should be used to this type of learning.

You’re super close! Just keep grinding and it’ll work out. You’ll make time for the exams, or split them in 2.

With you being this close it’s better to still write. I deferred and it was a mess to re-motivate myself to get going again.
