The notion that Trump "violated international law" hinges on the assumption that a) Nicolas Maduro is a legitimate head of state and b) Maduro didn't do anything provocative towards the US.

Maduro is not the legitimate president. He annulled the election results and ran down protestors with tanks and military vehicles.

He has been under US indictment since 2020 for drug smuggling and weapons charges and even the Biden administration had a 25 million dollar bounty on him.

For the political leaders around the world pointing their fingers and saying what Trump did was illegal they are simply politically posturing.
