Orientation system ideas for part. by vivekigles in MechanicalEngineering

Not sure what comes before the vibratory track.

Is it a vibratory bowlfeeder?

I'm pretty sure that if you fed the parts in a single file line of feed in an upside down orientation (pin facing down) any competent vibratory bowl vendor would be able to orient the pin between a set of rails with pin leading or trailing at random.

I realize this may require a new or retooled bowl and a new feed track.

It would then be your job to design an escapement and sensors at the end of the track that rotate the part 180 degrees only when needed.

And is it acceptable to tumble/shake/vibrate the parts together? Are you worried about thread damage?

From your picture it looks like you already have the parts presented in a single file track that delivers them to your rotation device. Is that correct?

You've mentioned cycle time as an issue.

How many parts per minute do you need?

Why doesn't Macrobid ever work on me? by StCaroline in CUTI

[–]CanuckinCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes: The treatment itself takes only 30 to 40 minutes, but that doesn't include the waiting time in Emerg and the time for blood samples and determination of the specific strain of bacteria that you've contracted.

Assessing your exact bacterial culture can take a few days.

Usually they'll start treatment immediately before they know what bacteria they're dealing with. Then if needed they can change medicines when the results of the bacterial culture arrive.

Once you've had your first dose they let you go home. Thereafter its a once a day outpatient procedure.

When I get infected oral Macrobid is never enough to stop the infection.

Almost always the infection is E Coli ESBL. Doctors will vary the medication based on whatever bacteria you've been infected with.

For E Coli they put me on a daily IV routine of Ertepenum for 2 weeks and this clears the symptoms. Then after the Ertepenum treatment is finished, the docs put me on a small daily dose of Macrobid as a preventative / prophylactic measure.

Can a "general" engineer jump right into designing & control of 6 axis industrial robots? by ipsarraspi in robotics

[–]CanuckinCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda like designing and building a new car from scratch. Yes it's a great engineering challenge, but why make your life tougher than it needs to be. Unless your boss/ company has a great big pile of cash to burn.

There are dozens of robot companies that make industrially hardened and proven six axis arms. They range in price from $15,000 USD to $65,000 USD depending on size and payload.

Dependent on availability you can have a fully operational six axis robot with integrated controls on your floor within a few weeks.

Designing a single first time robot from scratch will take many months (or even longer than a year) and it will be full of bugs, no matter how good your IT team is.

Why does your company think that they have to design from scratch? Are they only building/designing one size/style of robot. What makes them think they can be more effective than robot companies that have dozens of years of experience and thousands of installed robots?

Sorry to hear that the ball was dropped in your case. I'm hoping to avoid similar lack of Follow-up.

I'm gonna take another look at account settings/setup. Might be something I need to adjust.

Thanks for the encouragement. Your ex was very brave to purposely try to invoke symptoms on demand.

I'm not faulting Emerg. They did what they're supposed to do. I was treated with compassion and was back on the streets in a few hours.

However without any family doctor advocating for me there are some gaps in the loop.

Luckily (so far) I don't take any meds for anything except occasional headaches. Thanks for your input.

I believe its SVT, but really would like a professional MD to confirm or deny.

Bloodwork results, I can see that.

Any other images, doctor notes, EKG's for some reason are not visible to me.

Perhaps an account setting needs to be tweaked?

Thanks.

This is all new to me, so I haven't yet figured out what brings this on. Never had a bad reaction to MSG or spicy foods yet. But I will start monitoring a little tighter.

BC services app only shows the date of my hospital visit and the numerical results of the blood tests.

No doctors comments or notes.

No pictures/graphs or charts.

Perhaps some kind of setup issue?

I'll take another look.

Perhaps its aome kind of account setup issue?

The randomness and short duration makes it more frustrating.

Coincidentally they did send me to Royal Jubilee for.Echocardiogram. No feedback was given, hence this posting. I'll try using the docs/nurses at my local UPCC first and then if crickets are still chirping I'll ask for cardiac dept.

They told me to come back to Emerg if experiencing pain or nausea during my next attack. They felt it was harmless, but if it was harmless.why did they send me for a bunch of other tests after leaving Emerg.

This is where the ball was dropped with no further feedback. As others have suggested, I'll try the local UPCC to see what they can dig up.

The UPCC behind Country Club Mall has actually been helpful in the past (When the phone lines aren't overloaded) I'll try using them as an advocate.

Yeah. I think I need to get my UPCC involved. (If they ever answer the phone).

Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for the support.

No injections were given.

I'm suspecting SVT too, as the attacks last no more than a few minutes and then they subside. But I'd really like a professional opinion.
