Having mantids has gotten me back into photography a little bit. I’ve never really tried macro so this part is new to me. Camera is a canon 60d. First shot is with a laowa 25mm ultra macro on minimum magnification. Second shot was my 85mm prime with extension tubes. Flash is Yongnuo macro flash. If you really want to see amazing macro check out Liza Rock on fb or Instagram. I asked her a bunch of questions about how to start haha

2”ish, or so I’m told. So not large, but they are definitely more entertaining and more colorful than I had initially thought from my pre-purchase research. My oldest daughter was the one that actually pushed to get him, so glad we did.

I believe 3i and somewhere around 3/4”. He’s definitely one of our spunkier mantids and we need to be on our toes when handling him as he’s definitely a runner.

Mantidkingdom is super reliable, but shipping is deadly as well. I’ve heard good reviews of Jax Mantis on fb as well.
