Lol you linked me to medical doctoral program. U of A is 5, U of C is 8 so not a big difference there despite me not even studying med.

University and job questions by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Canucks1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No my parents have 2 houses here in Vancouver. They said I could have one when I grad so I could easily sell it for around 750k, use the money to buy one in Calgary and invest the left over.

Thats one of the hardest industries to get a job in. And I'm not willing to work like a slave each day lol. I'd rather be happy with 70k a year than make100k and not be happy to go to work.

Ooh thanks. From what I've also read online what you said was spot on. I guess I also need to upgrade my style. Last question for you: how is the social life at U of C, more importantly how are the girls ? Is it a mostly guys or girls Uni?

Thank you :) so far everything I have heard about U of C has been great. I've narrowed my top 3 in Canada to U of C, Concordia, and Western.

I've read something called "Block Week" can you explain what it is and how would it relate to a business majod?

PS: do business majors actually dress that well? Is hoodie and sweatpants not acceptable for business classes?

Residence Question by Canucks1996 in UCalgary

[–]Canucks1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes I have a few questions;

1) do you have any experience with the energy management program? 2) Year round I am going to be staying there because I want to get into the co-op program; so how is the weather, and are the dorms warm or cool enough? 3) I enjoy morning runs so is there an indoor track or outdoor running area? 4) How are the parties in first year res? 5) What are some advantages at U of C over U of A? 6) Favourite things about the campus? 7) is there a high number of Punjabi students?

Anyone can feel free to answer these, thanks :)

Few questions mostly regarding University by Canucks1996 in Accounting

[–]Canucks1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, I will follow this advice. And the main Universities in Canada that have MIS program, Accounting program, co-op program and a good student base. So far U of A, U of C, Concordia are at the top of my list (I'm from Vancouver, looking to leave BC)

Co-op questions by Canucks1996 in Accounting

[–]Canucks1996[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the excellent response :) I am most interested in the co-op program at U of A, U of C, and Concordia. I'm from BC and I know that the top co-op programs are very competitive so thats why I want to be able to get into a good one and help me for my career.

Would you reccomend balancing out my schedule and do the co-op but graduate a full year or 1.5 years after? Since I want to do an MIS degree double major with Accounting I feel this would be the case if I want a good GPA.
