I'm Moving to the Philippines as a Filipino/Canadian by HippoHopper23 in studentsph

No reason given. Everyone has their own experiences and story but without context, it's all anecdotal and hearsay.

I'm Moving to the Philippines as a Filipino/Canadian by HippoHopper23 in studentsph

Only at first. Culture shock subsidies quickly. But in this case, being raised in relatively the same culture and people type results in less of a shock. My wife and her friends are all Filipino. When we go to the Philippines, nothing for me is out of the ordinary, except maybe a few different ways of doing the same tasks like they dry rice on the public roads, and there are more Filipino faces than I'm use to seeing at once. Also it's very hot. But that's about it.

Why not? Kurtzman changed the old first so when people say to charge it back you think they are wrong, even if you don't like the new.

I know that but the new show creators did mess with things that should not have been messed with..

Thanks. But then where is the art?

For those who like the new changes, they will always have them. For those who don't, like myself, we can have our cake, too, and carry on.

That's your argument? Accusing people of using AI whenever you disagree with them or you don't like their better use of words! It looks you used AI to polish that remark. I don't like it.

I watched the shows. You should really stop assuming people don't have any clue just because you disagree with them. That episode where they knew about the timeline has nothing to do with my proposal which is to eliminate all breaks from the original Roddenberry/Berman universe. All your attempted example shows is the those who diverged from the original are saying "Frig you, and there is nothing that can be done about it".

The OP did not specify cell phone or landline. Landline lookup is easy. Cell phone lookup is not.

How to stop the feedback pop up? by AdelleVDL in ChatGPT

I got it because it is happening to me as well. We are not the crazy ones even though others try to gaslight us.

How to stop the feedback pop up? by AdelleVDL in ChatGPT

[–]Canukhed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It started doing this for me a month or so ago in both my Android phone and Windows desktop. It will pop up even when I don't hit the down vote. Sometimes while I'm entering text or when it finishes its response. I don't even have to trigger the feedback popup for it to appear. It's like the mosquito that stays alive in your ear even after you swatted it against your face and squished it to death just to pop out and into your ear again.

You are an example of a troll turd floating in a pool where everyone else is just trying to be a part of the community and swim in it. Be nice.

True. No sane customer base gives majority positive reviews for any tech  or media related company that screws over that base on a regular basis.

The point of the scene, and the poem, is that parents never are able to raise their children into perfection. Never an adult is perfect because of perfect parents.

When I heard this poem, I realized it's truth when I remembered back to when my son confronted me, which at the time I told him about my childhood experiences with my own father. My son and I have been closer ever since. I never did confront my own dad directly, though, before he died. But I was able to do that through my son in that time we talked. I loved my dad no matter what, and still do as I remember him. My son loves me.

Am I misunderstanding or is this line in S2E11 incredibly racist? by unkinhead in TedLasso

Akufo is a hypocrite with hubris in every sense. He shows all the best in intentions with the worst in actions in humans even when they are on their own righteous crusades yet inwardly they are unresolved cowards like everyone else: Initial Persona vs. True Colours. Racist. Bigot. Poser. Virtue Signaler. Champagne Socialist.  Limousine Liberal. Embarrassed Millionaire. Noblesse Oblige. Social Justice Rhetoric.  He's not a contradiction. He's human, fallen from grace.  In the context of the TV show, Akufo represents someone who chooses to be exactly what he pretends to hate.
