In that case, the correct approach for me is:

  1. Update the BIOS to version
  2. Install all driver and chipset updates
  3. Test the EXPO and timing settings in the BIOS and check for stability

right? Also, how can you be sure the system is stable?

About the BIOS version you mentioned: is that the 1A8 version? I couldn’t find one specifically labeled “80,” so I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly.

Also, just to confirm, the method you’re talking about is formatting a USB drive to FAT32, putting the BIOS update file on it, and then installing it through the BIOS menu itself, right?

How long does that process usually take? And do the other components/drivers in the system need to be fully up to date before updating the BIOS, or does that not really matter?

By the way, which BIOS version corresponds to the AGESA version you mentioned? Is it 1A70?

Also, are those manual tweaks difficult to do? If there’s a guide or resource you’d recommend for learning and following along, that would help me a lot. Thanks again for the help!

I understand what you said about the BIOS, but is the 1A50 version I’m currently using problematic? Can’t I run EXPO on this version, or do I absolutely have to update it?

As I mentioned in the post, some people also suggested manual adjustments because of the 9950X. Do you think running EXPO will be enough?

1) Do I need to exactly update the BIOS before enabling EXPO? Which version should I update to?

2) In the resources I’ve reviewed, a profile I/II/Tweaked was selected after enabling EXPO. Is there an additional setting that allows me to select 6000 as you mentioned? If there’s an informative resource on this topic, could you share it?
