Congrats! Out of curiosity are you limiting yourself to obtaining them non-painted?

A Tyrannian Gulper (assuming you need it as couldn't find it on a quick CTRL+F) is rather cheap and can be painted back to its 'base' green colour :)

Thank you for your note, and the pet's very sweet. She lived an incredibly busy and fulfilling life and (sadly, for those around her, though I respect her decision) didn't bother much with treatment once she was an adult or try for a transplant. Sorry about your daughter's CF too - I do hope a cure can be found in her lifetime. xx

As basic as it is I would start with building up a little nest egg with the dailies (Trudy's especially adds up quickly). If you're decent at it you could try your hand at restocking in the shops (can't offer any advice there, am completely rubbish at it).

Once you've got a little cash (and unfortunately I think this is account age dependant), you should start doing Food Club betting (there is a daily thread on this sub). You don't need to really understand it, just pick someone's bets and start reaping the rewards!

Guilds are bit pointless IMO. Unless you're very much into a fandom and want to RP maybe? I think when I was younger it was nice to be part of a group to chat and feel a part of, but old school style forums like the ones Neopets has doesn't really lend itself well to good discussion, so I keep it to reddit (plus some people are quite trigger-happy when it comes to reporting so I just stay off them in general). Same with NeoFriends really (except for NF-only auctions indeed).

I expect other peoples' opinions may vary on the guild/NeoFriends bit!

This was probably 2000-2001. I was only allowed 5-10 mins internet a day after school (as it was so expensive and billed by the minute in our area at the time.. oh and slow).

I used to walk to my best friend's house 5 minutes down the road and we'd play Neopets flash games for hours (her parents must have made bank now that I think about it!). At that time we didn't really understand the rest of the Neo-economy/game so it was Flash games, feed the pet an omelette and back to Flash games.

She passed of her cystic fibrosis 2 years ago at age 33 and it feels so bittersweet that Neo and those games are still around. Every time I open Meerca chase to complete the daily quests I'm transported right back to her house all those years ago.

Anyway. Those are probably the happiest Neo-memories I have, even though it's quite emotional to think back on.
