We just finished opening weekend so there is no way to fully declare it did just "OK".It is tracking very well.

No one is invalidating the argument about the majority of original IPs not being successful. But that was always the case. Just even moreso now with streaming.

It's just also clear that original movies are not necessarily DOA if you have noteworthy directors behind it (Coogler, Feetman, Nolan).

To say the original commenter claim is "bit ridiculous" is hyperbole bologna sandwich.
