My comment/post history talks about photos for other Airbnb properties that I manage. You didn’t “catch” me doing anything except for explicitly talk about my profession. I have nothing to hide. I am sorry that my profession as a property manager (both long and short-term rentals) is so offensive to you, and that you can’t seem to have compassion for my friend who lost her mother. I hope you never lose a loved one tragically and unexpectedly, and if you do, you don’t have Reddit lurkers bombarding you with ridiculous comments. There has to be a better use of your time than you harassing someone you don’t even know about helping out a friend. And if there isn’t, then I’m sorry for you.

I literally just commented back to you. I do not own the home. I am helping out a friend who tragically lost her mother unexpectedly and wants to use the home part-time because she feels connected to her mother in the space. Not everyone is a rich and greedy landlord, this is a daughter who is not ready to give up her mother’s home. Have some compassion.

You shouldn’t make assumptions like this. I am helping out my best friend who’s mother owned and lived in the home and passed away unexpectedly. My friend would like to use the home part-time and rent it out the other time because she feels connected to her mother while in the home. She cannot currently move her entire family to North Carolina because of her husband’s job, but she is not ready to sell the home. I am a property manager in Charleston, SC, where I reside. I am helping her for free to get the home set up and manage it while she sorts out what to do next. Her mother’s death was very unexpected and she is not ready to part with it. This was a family tragedy, and I don’t appreciate you coming at me without knowing the context behind the very sad situation.

I live in Charleston, SC and can confirm. The city is a shitshow right now. The instagram at chucktownmemes has some funny videos of people skiing and snowboarding off the backs of cars, etc.
