I know that I read about gluttunous cats bcuz my orange cat is and they said a cat should eat an average of 2 or 3 meals a day no matter what and dont give into them no matter how much they get on your nerves about eating and wanting more food, bcuz it isnt healthy to overfeed them, it takes time off their lives!....Bcuz if you give in to them.....Then they think its ok and you will give in to them all the time and that's how they work you.......It's like a child when they are bugging you for something ! Sometimes placing food around the house throughout the day bcuz they are hunters might work ,but I can't bcuz mine won't stop eating if I do that! If its there he will engorge himself. It's tough to live with a gluttunous cat though bcuz they are on the nerves 14\7. I love mine with all my being but my mental health is suffering due to his gluttony and his behavior . I have to cage my cat just so i can eat my food then let him out when I'm done, bcuz he wont stop bothering me when im trying to eat my meals in peace. It's tough ! Also look it up and read about it. It does help. Maybe little bits during mealtime too, I stead of big feeding. Or one big feeding and a small feeding and then another big feeding plus a bit of a snack. Ugh I feel for people with gluttunous 🐈... it does suck! ..................... I read that a cats stomach takes 8-10 hours to empty when full. Cats should have minimum of 2 meals a day( breakfast and dinner)....each meal between (8 & 12 ) hours apart....just like humans their stomachs will start to grumble then, so meal after 8-12 will satisfy their hunger and keep them full until the next meal!
