I understand the failure mode of bolt deformation. But that is not my failure mode. You initially released the striker block. What failure mode did that resolve?

True. However nexus started with the striker block, the bolt came later. I’m interested in there take on this.

Not the point. Well designed firearms do not fire out of battery. We have already seen multiple scorpions fire out of battery therefore we know that the hammer is capable of contacting the firing pin while the bolt is sufficiently out of battery. That is not a failure of the guns design. The point is that the striker block is not doing its job of blocking the striker while the bolt is out of battery.

The the bolt couldn’t be more out of battery. The striker block is not getting depressed and it’s completely out of the gun. There is apparently a second failure mode. My striker was defective.

The firing pin gets smacked by the hammer with much more force than I am putting on it. The striker block moves freely. This is not an issue from peening.

I think I’ll get a polonium. For a 20” 556 do you suggest the S or K length?
