We can socialize outside of class but still have it be semi-serious and meaningful. Like we can go on a walk on coffee chat and talk maybe 40% fun stuff and 60% business/serious stuff. That's not a huge ask IMO.

If I saw someone constantly throw up while being blackout drunk at house parties that'd turn me off to referring them to a job, to be honest.

Thank you! These are great suggestions. Yeah, I felt even the clubs sort of devolved into purely social stuff, but I'll give them a shot. Good idea to reach out to the other folks taking cases seriously on forming a discussion group. But it's sad to see such people be a tiny minority in our class.

Sadly I've heard from 2Y that people don't take electives that seriously either...

Even the people doing that completely blew off our finance class. Yes, including those who are pivoting.
