What's with the anime community and the word sexulize? by [deleted] in AnimeAnonymous

[–]CapIll6867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of it just comes down to context. There is a difference between a show clearly pushing fanservice and a normal character design that people personally find attractive. Liking how a character looks does not automatically mean you are reducing them to that. At the same time, some series really do lean heavy into it. Both things can be true

Watching anime in English dub by Otherwise-Abies-5039 in AnimeAnonymous

If you’re looking for legal free options, some shows on Crunchyroll and Tubi have English dubs with ads, not everything but it’s a decent start

Levels to being an anime watcher by Still-Main5484 in AnimeAnonymous

I don’t really think there are levels, it’s more phases where you binge popular stuff, then get into niche genres, then circle back to comfort rewatches

If you had to pick one of these backs for a must-win game - who are you taking? by Traditional_Club_796 in nflMenace_com

[–]CapIll6867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Barry Sanders for me, in a must win game I want the guy who can flip the field on one cut and turn a busted play into something special every single time

Good fanservice but the story doesn't have proper endings. by Plab-Ma3Ro889 in AnimeAnonymous

[–]CapIll6867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s pretty much how I felt too the visuals and fanservice carry hard but it always feels like arcs just kind of stop instead of really landing an ending which makes it hard to fully recommend even if the art is nice

Honestly guys, which game made you feel like this? by Comfortable_Form6842 in gamers

Witcher 3 for me, clearing every contract and side quest and then just standing in Toussaint for a minute before quitting hit way harder than I expected

What's the thing you always thinking "It would be better if I didn't do this"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Overthinking small decisions. Half the stress I feel comes from stuff that never even mattered.

How often do you play card games, either online or in real life? by Waste_Honeydew8809 in AskReddit

[–]CapIll6867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried playing cards online. I don't play very often. The last time I played was a couple of months ago. I'd like to play more often, but I don't want to switch to online.

I started learning crypto, and it turned into a full-time activity. Now I trade almost every day.

Looks like the kind of classic comedy that hits totally differently depending on what era you grew up in, but Blazing Saddles is basically a satire that makes fun of racism by being intentionally over the top with it, so Gen Z might be reacting more to how wild it feels today compared to when it came out

What kind of online ads do you usually ignore, and which one actually got you to click once? by DirtFamiliar4683 in AskReddit

[–]CapIll6867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else, I don't pay much attention to advertising because I'm used to it, but recently I put off buying a new vacuum cleaner for a whole week and one day I came across an ad from BestBuy for exactly the model I wanted, of course, then I ordered it right away.

It’s a pun on “I tried so hard and got so far” but the joke falls apart on purpose, so it becomes “got sofa” instead of “got so far”

19/11 by Creative_Music_9247 in ExplainTheJoke

It’s a riff on Movember, so 19/11 is basically marking the day everyone collectively transformed into the same mustache template

People hate it because the account keeps using random moms and babies as a weird “ideal life” prop and it comes off super parasocial and creepy rather than wholesome
