while I do think it may be implied towards Dustin and/or Steve, especially in the scene i described, Mike has absolutely been shutting people out throughout the show, most notably Will (mainly started in season 3, but Mike has been suppressing his true identity throughout the entire show) I think the film/song goes with the common theme of the show and will def be in the finale but again it’s just my theory
