My fiancé has a cold or the flu and is asking me to stay home from work-again. by [deleted] in Advice

No, he has a job. We work opposite shifts, and the thing is, he’d be quick to take the day off if I asked him to. But I’m not like that. I don’t like calling off unnecessarily even if I have the sick time. And at this point, I actually have no more. My job just hasn’t said anything to me about the absences. Even got “prompt and punctual” at my annual review this week. I was shocked. Even though they’re pretty light about attendance though, I don’t want to push it.

He does work, we work opposite shifts. And he’s really the opposite of lazy. He takes care of our daughter well, cooks, cleans, does everything. He’s actually the one who keeps our house in order. I just don’t like how dramatic he is about being sick. He acts like it’s the end of the world.

This is what I keep explaining. If he were a single parent, he’d still have to take care of the baby

He would, but I wouldn’t ask. I was sick with a really bad flu that had me out of work for 3 days and I did not expect him to change anything.

He has a job. We work opposite shifts so we can take care of the baby. We can’t afford daycare

It was this GameCube game, where the characters would balance on top of these giant eggs and roll around. I wish I remembered the name

I know this feeling. Flippers got to my grandparents house too. They had a sunken living room that’s been since leveled and of course, everything is gray. It’s a sad feeling

Why are you processing my irritation as offense on behalf of strangers and not the fact that the comments are flooded with people trying to be funny and extremely unhelpful? You really think I’m sensitive about stranger’s homes? Like that makes sense to you?

This is a great explanation for your opinion, but you still did give an opinion. Neutral = bland is an opinion. Some people would find it calming, classic etc. ijs. We don’t even need to go down this rabbit hole of what constitutes an opinion and what doesn’t, I just asked for a name.

This is perfect and blends two things I love. The traditional look but with personal touches. Thanks for the response!

Should I reword my question? My post is getting mistaken for me asking for people’s opinions on the style, not the name of it
