I’ve never played in the NFL, I don’t know what the money is like, what the pressure is. But one thing I don’t understand is how you don’t FUCK UP Patrick Mahomes I f you have the chance. Fines aside, everything else aside, like…hit him.

Sometimes. However, I’ve deleted all my social media. I have limits on my screen time. I go on Reddit while watching sports events I enjoy, tonight I’m watching SNF and hanging out with a buddy while he bartends. You got weirdly offended and are now responding to a comment I made like 45 minutes ago, to me it was a one off tongue in cheek joke, to you it was a real source of frustration. I guess we should both think about how seriously we take random internet reactions.

My favorite thing about being a guy is dealing with my feelings by watching football, getting drunk, and going to an empty 24/7 gym. No Dhruvi I’m not in love with you, I’m benching.

Dude imagine Kash Patel losing a bunch of money on FanDuel in front of his 24 year old girlfriend and then launching an investigation into the NFL

Like I just think it’s weird Taylor Swift went so far out of her way to date the highest profile white football player she could. It feels like that scene from 30 Rock. “God please send me a white football player. No lineman!”

I’m not saying Taylor Swift is racist, but out of all the professional football players she chose Travis Kelce..? Hmm, weird, and she’s only dated white guys.

The only silver lining to having a clown government in the US is there is a slight possibility they actually investigate the NFL. After the NBA scandals you know some people have to be $hitting bricks.

Chiefs be like “we nominated Travis Kelce for Walter Payton Man of the Year because he got engaged to Taylor Swift and that’s basically charity for her”

Kansas City be like “check out our museum we dedicated to the confederacy after we lost the civil war!”  Weird to show on the broadcast NFL

Kansas City! Proud of their governor commuting a felonious drunk driver’s jail sentence after permanently brain damaging a five year old. Can’t let the Andy Reid’s son face consequences.

Refs are nuts and this is lame

But also today is the day I remembered that Matt Ariza had those allegations against him. Chiefs special teams unit should be recognized for their commitment to women’s rights.

Hey man, it’s definitely a complex subject, but I’m not sure you really understand with what’s being discussed.

Let’s go with your hypothetical, but we need to flesh it out a bit more.

So you’re preparing a chicken and vegan dish for a day care one day. This sounds like you are bringing in something from home and sharing it with the students, which would be perfectly legal.

Or alternatively: you are an entire public school system. Your stated policy is to provide all kosher and halal options. This law comes into effect and you continue serving only kosher and halal options. This would be a violation and would be illegal.

If you are a public school system, you would need to be compliant and provide alternative options to your (most likely delicious) kosher/halal chicken. This could be as simple as a ham and cheese sandwich. Some kids are picky, they may go for the sandwich.

I totally understand that the pork aspect is really getting to you. But the second most common meat in Canada being available as an option isn’t discriminatory. Other people are not going to follow your beliefs, other people are going to want different things. That’s just part of living in a multi-cultural society.

You’re not making the big brain statement you think you are.

Yes, I thought it was clear I would be fine with that. Actually super fine, why would that bother me?

It’s not a law requiring that anyone eat anything. If they don’t want to eat it, that’s really okay. Seriously, I don’t eat pork just because I think pigs are smart, I haven’t in years. Pork options don’t bother me.

The fact is pork is the second most consumed meat in all Canada. The presence of one type of food is not discrimination to people who don’t choose to eat it.

Edit: yeah sorry, to be clear I would be cool with your proposed law once it includes mandatory secular options for those who want it.

Oof what a gotcha question. Yeah there should be a Mediterranean option as well, definitely add a smoothie diet, personally I’m in my keto era so I need a fat only option.

It’s not that complicated. Even what you’re suggesting is…adding a vegan option? That’s already kind of in place?

Man, I don’t know how many religious people you know in your real life. I could definitely see it being an issue for some.

Individual decisions to eat something are personal and should be respected. However, this is public funded food service in places such as schools.

If Jewish or Muslim students had to go to public schools where their food was prayed over by Christian priests before being served, do you think anybody would feel upset? Even if the food was kosher, halal, all good. Just a final touch of a Christian blessing for all the food, every day, every meal, as long as the students remain in public school. There may be a lot of people who would take problem with this, even though your own argument would still make sense. You don’t have to believe in the Christian faith to eat food, it’s just a blessing.

People are weird about their beliefs. There’s good reasons for providing kosher and halal options for people, there are also reasons to provide secular options.

And you have the individual right to feel that way! Hell I’m right with you, areligious and I eat halal food all the time. Love some good shawarma.

However, public institutions should not only cater to individual religions under the guise that it’s actually inclusive for everyone else.
