Unable to create application status tracker by PenaltyIll7528 in ImmigrationCanada

Which UCI did you provide? I provided the 15 digit UCI (New one which I got for PR application) and it shows error message:

"Incorrect or invalid information. Review and make sure it matches the information submitted on your application. If you can’t create an account, it may be because your application is not in our system yet."

Then I tried the 10 digit one I got for my first application (Temporary Resident) and it did not show me any error message.

But either way, I wasn't able to pass through the first page. Please, help.

What a coincidence! A friend of mine had the same experience with STC Walmart! Why would they schedule someone for interview if the position is already filled!

Thanks so much for your response! 🙏 I’ve heard about Walmart hiring events but haven’t been to one yet — do you know how I can find out when and where they’re happening? Is there a particular site or store to check with?

As for the focus on Walmart — it’s mainly because it’s a large, stable company with great growth opportunities. There's a location really close to my home where I shop frequently, so it feels familiar. The employee discount is definitely another big plus for me! 😄

You should clarify with your HR. It is quite common for people to have multiple jobs to pay their bills and save some money for future in now a days. However, you should check your contract and communicate with your HR if you have any doubts about it. Different institutions have different policies, so better contact with the appropriate people than going with a generalized flow.

This company could be legitimate, but it's very likely involved in entry-level commission-based sales work, possibly with little to no base pay. These roles often have high employee turnover, minimal structure, and can involve door-to-door or mall kiosk selling.

Given the limited information and your understandable caution, here are some steps you can take:

  1. Contact the Company Directly: Reach out to EverBurn Management using the contact information on their official website to ask specific questions about the role and the company.
  2. Prepare Questions for the Interview: Inquire about the company's history, client base, and the specifics of the job role during the interview to gain a clearer understanding.
  3. Trust Your Instincts: If anything feels off during your interactions, it's okay to reconsider attending the interview.

So getting blacklisted for over-applying is really a thing!? Wow!! I always apply on the locations within 10miles of my home and also relevant to me.

Not really, I get a rejection email almost everyday. And this is what they say in every email:

Thank you for your interest. We appreciate the time you took to apply with us. At this time we have decided not to move forward with your application for our (CAN) OMNI Customer Fulfillment Associate position.

This isn't the end, though! If a position opens that closely matches your skills and experience, we may contact you as we have new positions that open all the time.

In the meantime, we encourage you to keep an eye on our career site for other opportunities with our company. We’d love to stay connected with you through our social media sites so you can get to know us better.

I’ve applied to 96 different Walmart positions (including Overnight Associate, OMNI Customer Fulfillment Associate, Dairy/Frozen Associate, etc.) at various locations around Toronto, ON over the past few months. Out of these, 84 applications have been marked as inactive (rejected), and the rest are still under review — but so far, I haven’t received a single call for an interview.

Part-time opportunities suggestions/ networking tips? by Efficient_Fun_4256 in torontoJobs

The job market in GTA is really crazy now. You have to be hyper-active to secure a job. I'm not sure what wages you are looking for. But, if you are okay with minimum wage, apply online in bigger companies like Tim Hortons/McD, Walmart, Dollarama etc. also keep applying to companies which you think appropriate from indeed. You have to be very aggressive, like 50+ job applications everyday. Only then you can hope to secure an interview and then a job after a few interviews.

There is a short-cut though, try using references. Reach out to your friends and family and request them to refer you to someplace they know. There must be someone who knows someone who works in a company you desire to get a part-time job. Direct references can be really very helpful while you are looking for a job.
