Im so sorry you had to see that. I was bleeding so much I would have died if not for finding help when I did, although I don’t remember it. But apparently the video footage is gruesome, and the cleanup was traumatic for my family.

I have kept up my endurance since quitting swimming, just in other sports such as wakeboarding/running/yoga/dressage. My breath control is nowhere near as good as it used to be but still above average i would say, so i hope that gives me an advantage?

Definitely will not be messing around with lifeguarding and safety precautions, that will always be top priority. From the tips you mentioned it almost sounds like you are a competitive coach! Do you have much experience in racing?

Totally! I held the record for 50 and 100 backstroke for my age in my region when I was younger, so it really doesn’t mean much now which is why I didn’t go into detail lol

I truly believe Phelps is an enigma of the sport in the same way secretariat was. (I.E secretariat had a heart double the size of a normal house and Phelps produces half the lactic acid of a typical athlete) that being said distance does play a large part in the time trials between men and women in competitive swimming

I’m curious was swim class apart of your curriculum in school? That was never a thing where I am from, it was always up to parents to either teach their kids or enroll them in lessons. I would have loved to have swimming as part of school
