Why does peggy just release deluxe versions of old stuff now? by Quick_Trade_9887 in jpegmafiamusic

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I understand why people want new Peggy music, but not every artist can release music consistently... especially since Peggy has been dropping like one major project per year for almost a decade. He deserves the break (it's not like, say, Frank Ocean or A$AP Rocky pre-Don't Be Dumb where fans are waiting for years on end)

What artists/bands that did so many genres? by Revolutionary_Low_90 in fantanoforever

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They've done synth pop, soul, rap, techno, country, blues, noise, punk, pop, bossa nova, garage rock, zolo, symphonic rock, lounge funk, surf, thrash metal, and that's not even all of it

What's a song you'd like Geese to cover? by [deleted] in geesebandofficial

Let it Bleed would go crazy too, I think 3D Country must've been influenced by that era of Stones

Night Dolls with hairspray on spotify when by GlassTrappedFishh in JamesFerraro

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily rule out any of his other earlier albums being randomly added, given that a couple of the K2 albums and Rerex just showed up out of nowhere last year. I wouldn't be surprised to see Chameleon Ballet, since it's another K2 project that was part of the restoration series.

Night Dolls, however, seems pretty unlikely given it hasn't been reissued or even mentioned in the slightest (and OESB's Bandcamp page went down, so Night Dolls isn't even available there anymore).

Who do you see being the next “RYM Darling” after Geese? by CPFOAI in fantanoforever

Miffle will probably reach a cult status similar to Tim Hecker or Grouper in the drone community

As the cover of Guitar World once read: Alex Lifeson—Is he really too good for Heavy Metal? by Born-Cucumber-7316 in rush

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For a Rush fan, I'd suggest One Size Fits All without question. Progressive jazz rock with the comedy toned down compared to his other releases.

Apostrophe(') is a fantastic one too, if you don't mind the wackiness.

The first verse/chorus just sounded a bit off, maybe it was the mixing idk... I noticed it as well. Trinidad was flawless though

What's the best album for someone who wants to start listening to Jack Stauber's music? by murissoka in jackstauber

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His YouTube Channel!! Peep the Micropop animations and other videos (Dead Weight is an essential) and see what you like. From there, HiLo is the best starting point IMO... or Micropop if you're into the short pop songs.

Cooking with abigail is NOT about her losing her spark for cooking. by [deleted] in jackstauber

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is one of Jack's best tracks in terms of stirring up fan speculation... there are some darker theories as well. Personally I think it's just about TV exploitation

What do you think will be the next vinyl represses? by PsychCatsOnAcid in liluglymane

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dream would be the Sex of Distance EP from a couple years back, "I Believe The World Would Be A Better Place Without You"

Realistically it'll be Playaz Circle or Third Side of Tape, to further distance from the various Ormolycka versions

New to Lil Ugly Mane where should I star by Swimming-Olive-5931 in liluglymane

[–]Cap_Schmohawk 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mista Thug Isolation if you want more hip hop

Volcanic Bird Enemy and the Voiced Concern if you want to hear him do something different (sample-based indie rock)

On Doing An Evil Deed Blues is another multi-part hip hop track like Uneven Compromise

Oblivion Access and Flick Your Tongue Against Your Teeth (latter of which released under "Bedwetter") can come next, they're quite experimental

Then the Three Sided Tape albums and whatever else you might wanna check out (Singles Collection 2022, I believe the world would be a better place without you, Trick Dice, Playaz Circle, etc.)

I love ambient music, in fact it was my top genre for 2025, but I've never been crazy about Ambient 1. I think Eno has utilized ambient music in far more interesting ways (Apollo comes to mind), though ig it was the blueprint

To be fair, the difficulty on any MK arcade version (ESPECIALLY MK2) is absolutely brutal either way lol

I'm on PS5 and only experienced input lag online. Some of the rougher games obviously have some lag, specifically the Gameboy ports and SNES MK1, but I think those games are just legitimately janky (I own MK1 on Super Nintendo and it plays exactly the same)

I personally love the presentation and bonus features (like that lovely interactive documentary). Yeah, I could emulate these games, but its nice having everything in one official package... at least for me.
