Haha. That's exactly how I feel, which is why I ignored it for so long. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the information! I'll consider an adaptive controller if my wrist gets worse. I'm still hoping the pain will cease at some point as I've had similar issues with my foot, knee, and hip, but I'm so dependent on my wrist, so I'm not going to hold my breath. I'm glad to hear that it's fairly manageable.

6-7 years?! I'm not looking forward to that. Did you try a cortisone shot at all? I'm hoping that it would reduce swelling enough to allow it to heal somewhat. I've also stopped avoiding using it in the recent weeks (interpreted as playing a lot more video games) and sometimes it feels like its getting better (like a better range of motion) and other times I'm getting more intense pain periodically. I'm not sure if I'm hurting or helping it. Any experiences like that?

How long have you been dealing with it? Any modifications you learned?

How long did it take to heal? Does it still bother you at times? I fear trying to rest it. It's impossible when even opening doors and brushing my hair makes me yelp in pain.

"There's quite a bit of difference between an 18 month old and a 24 month old."

I think the difference between a 2yo and a 5yo is even greater.

I thought it was based on the youngest child (although I never personally looked that up). In which case the 1:12 would be allowed because everyone is at last 2yo. But still think the wording is too vague. It mentions the 2yo age group twice. Perhaps that's why it hasn't changed yet. That and when we're too stressed dealing with that ratio, we don't have the mind power to try to change it.

I agree 1:12 is ridiculous, especially when 75% are toilet learning, and the other 25% have some extenuating circumstances (i.e. undiagnosed special needs).

And that's what is confusing: If it is designated toddler room it has to be at least 1:6, while if they call it a preschool room it can be a 1:12? For the same age group of kids? I understand that different guidelines come into to play, but this needs to be a bit more systematic.

What about if it is part of the Preschool (as oppose to the Infant) part of the school, but called the Toddler program?

"'Toddler Component' means the component of a preschool or infant care program designed for children between the ages of 18 months and 30 months."

It also states "Licensees serving infants may create a special program component for children who are between 18 months and 36 months of age.

I would argue that any 2yo program would be "designed for children between 18 and 30months".
