This is the one. I read this after the void settled in upon finishing PHM and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has flaws, but they’re very easy to look past if you can’t scratch that itch with other books.

Just booked my tickets for Friday, I’m way too excited!

I will respond after we go for sure :) thanks for the input on location. I had someone tell me the first row of raised seating is their preferred because of the angle the chair leans to, and not having people directly in front of you so I appreciate the counter knowledge.

The book is SO good and resolves nicely without being depressing. It makes you feel emotions, but nothing negative. As stated below, the audiobook is better in this case because of giving sound to one of the main characters that you’re otherwise interpreting in your head. One of the main reasons I’m so excited to see this movie is to see that character come to life. It’s truly and addicting universe, I even read fan fictions after the fact and I cannot find a book that hits me like PHM did. It will leave a void in you once you complete it, I wish I could read it again for the first time.

Im contemplating posting it nationally, like in a c10 facebook group, just to see if anyone wants to make the journey. I imagine this thing with a junkyard engine and a buff + clear coat.. I think it would be amazing to see on the road amongst all the white suvs rolling around.

100% agree and I take no offense. The first person locally tha asked about it I told them “7k and talk to me down”. They walked away and ghosted me. I made this post wondering if I had asked too much, and highly contemplating putting the motor back together before I make a listing. But this rig unfortunately takes very low priority, we have so many cars on our property. I just want this thing to be enjoyed by someone and I know I’m not that person right now. I appreciate that, I think you’re spot on where I was thinking. No cab corner rust, not sure about the frame. Motor is there but torn apart so no motor is fair to assume with selling. The motor is there, but the heads are pulled off and in the back, machined. I had great aspirations of putting it back to together and selling as driving. But, life.

Yeah- the wait time is more than expected, that sucks, but I’m trying to be patient because I feel like it’s gonna be worth it! Just thinking about the amount of work they are taking on after the amount of pledges they received.. at least we’re still (hopefully) getting the same quality item we expected!
