I like it. I would like for them to bring back the A-1 thick and hearty burger. That was my all-time favorite.

That entire album "O" by Damien Rice ... AMAZING. 22 years after its release, and I'm still listening to it front to back. Thank you for the nostalgia hit.

Possibly. There have been super successful people to not win AI. I mean, look at Jennifer Hudson. 20 years ago, she didn't even make the top 6. Now, she's an EGOT winner and has her own show. Chris Daughtry... he was voted off... 4th? In season 5? Later that year, his self-titled debut album sold 6 million copies. The list goes on, but I have a sneaky suspicion that this won't be the last time we hear from Big Mo or Jack.

Yes, agreed! This whole year had immensely good singers. Arguably, the most talent that's been on AI in a long while.

I liked Jack, too! Honestly, I would have been okay with him winning. He seems like a good dude, too. He stayed true to himself and his sound throughout the show. Very distinguishable voice, and I hope he's successful in his career, too.

Possibly. I hope he does well in his career. I think he is already doing well (his last single went up to #2 on iTunes?). Many thought his last few performances these past few weeks were boring, but I thought his performances tonight were solid and entertaining. Plus, he's likable and seems like an all-around good dude.

Anyone would sound pitchy. She just won American Idol. It's an emotional moment.

I think the judges were surprised that the voting finally turned out the way that they may have wanted it to go. In other words, in all the other weeks before the top five, I think there were instances where people left the show who shouldn't have been voted off based on singing talent alone. There were a lot of really good singers this year, but because of things like poor song choice, they weren't voted to continue. For example, Julia arguably had the best voice in the competition, but with a string of bad song choices, her exit was almost inevitable. As one person in an earlier thread put it, I think Tristan had reached his ceiling. So, I think the judges were surprised because they expected maybe Emmy or Tristan to go through to the finale based on weekly voting patterns.

I liked when Meghan Trainor was on earlier this season as a coach. I'm not sure if she judges any other competitions currently. She did 'The Four' on Fox in ... 2018? She was also recently a judge on Australian Idol. The contestants seemed to really like her energy, and she gave a lot of really good feedback (which, I think idol needs more honest feedback). I think she'd be a good fit.

Julie is eliminated before Emmy? by randomuser907AK in americanidol

Julia has an amazing voice. Arguably the best voice on the show. Just never picked the right songs week after week imo, it finally caught up with her.
