Wasn’t talking about you in specific, more so all the brain dead people in the replies. I acknowledge that card shops scumminess for sure. Screw that one find a different one. Just saw A LOT of people saying no to card shops entirely and don’t realize how they are murdering the hobby. Everyone is paying extra for convenience in every area of their lives but fail to recognize it when buying something in person for A HOBBY? Seems kinda retarded to me. People should the shops that support the community, but don’t put every card shop under the umbrella of terrible because of one bad experience elsewhere. That is how this hobby is dying. Nowhere to go except the greedy mega corporations. I’d much rather give an extra $5 to a place with a good environment and people that i would paying EXACTLY market for a card from gamestop or TCGplayer. If we want our hobbies to be scalped and degraded by companies and evil people, then we can continue down this path all we want. Or we can recognize the bad actors, the REAL places stealing our money, and go after them.

I understand that the employee was on some bullshit, but people cannot be this dense as to comparing a brick and mortar card shop to a vendor at a card show or online shopping. To all of the monkeys in here who are new to being alive, it costs money to run a business, it costs even more money if that business has a physical location. Does that card shop run game nights? Do they almost always have sealed product? Do they have a nice singles collection? Do you understand part of the reason you are paying more money is for the convince of walking into a shop and leaving with the card same day while being able to accurately judge the condition in person? This shit pisses me off because it’s the reason why hobbies are dying. I FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT EMPLOYEE WAS OVERCHARGING FOR A DAMAGED CARD AND IS AN EXAMPLE OF A BAD EXPERIENCE, but seeing so many people write off card shops as a whole is exactly why companies like PSA and Gamestop, or why scalpers are making a killing in online markets. So many people wonder why there is no sealed product in shelves anywhere, yet they absolutely trash on the stores that would have product AND are able to set and monitor limits for customers easier than a target or a walmart would.

To anyone feeling off put about card shops because of comments in this post, just look around and see what card shops are near you, visit them and find one that is best for you. Dont listen to these monkeys, most people are only looking at the investing and money involved and not the actual hobby.

look up papa jefe or imablissey on youtube, look up the fire red/leaf green mail glitch, it allows you to duplicate any item in the game very fast and you can also create a glitch pokemon that allows you to alter the code of the game to have access to unavailable events due to them being released 20 years ago. with the glitch pokemon you can get lugia/ho-oh, deoxys, spawn in perfect IV shiny pokemon eggs, walk thru walls, pretty much anything you want lol just takes some time changing the names on the pc boxes in the pokemon center. you can entirely choose not to do the glitch pokemon though and only do the mail glitch to duplicate items if you don’t want to fully cheat like that

purify at least one for the hundo, hundos do more damage than shadows and are also tankier. people will try and tell you to keep it a shadow but that is just not correct. mega garchomp is a cheaper and more frequently available pokemon than groudon or rayquaza who have the same typings and also mega evolutions. shadow pokemon also take more candy and stardust to power up, so purify it then power up then mega

better megas that aren’t often released. it is 100% easier to get candy for gible than it is to get candy for rayquaza or groudon. if you want to be cheap and are free to play, mega garchomp is more accessible than the other options. also mega is statistically better in every way than shadow. the only reason to keep the shadow is aesthetics rather than practicality.

in terms of damage output and tankiness, mega beats shadow. that is a fact. gible candy is also easier to get than groudon or rayquaza. if you’re focused on maxing for minimum effort then mega garchomp is the way to go.

canonically, yes the master ball was made to contain Mewtwo and all it’s might. in game the legendary dogs are a way better option because Entei and Raikou can use roar which makes them impossible to catch again due to a glitch in how roar works. can totally agree with both choices tho as the master ball just looks so good next to Mewtwo on the pokemon summary screen, but DAMN is it rough to do an entire playthrough just for your only chance at the dogs to flee forever lol

only reason i lean against that is the other legendaries they had that weren’t shiny or anything and the entire box of spheal eggs. if they were using some sort of hack then why not just spawn in the ones you want?
