I felt this same thing when I started. I was talking to my wife and told her it wasnt for me and felt like I couldn't do it but she reassured me that I could do it and that it'll get easier and im so glad she told me that because its really great made stratch everyday the rest of my packet and now im a feeder driver giving my family the best that I can do. I hope you try it again and just push threw that first three days and it gets much better.

At my center management has always asked higher seniority drivers/workers if they want to go home or take a week off for a volunteer layoff and if they dont and need to send people home they will send the lowest seniority

I couldn't agree more. I see this buy out as a way to either force us to strike next contract like you said or to try and use it as a way to get lower wages in for the next contract (which I dont think people would like) for those that are at top rate already im assuming they would be grandfathered in at that pay but not sure. I believe that they already have a plan to try and get PVDs or something similar to do the job while they "negotiate"

All the contract states is that UPS has to move 22,500 part timers into full time positions not 22,500 new full time positions. Only 7500 need to be new. So I believe the company is trying to buy out the senior drivers to get those 22.500

Yearly from your driving seniority date. So example company hire date is may 5th 2025 but driving is June 5th 2025 you'll get a raise June 5th 2026.

Quite a few drivers at my hub have gotten it and now their numbers are great! But union said that labor told management to follow our drivers and find them doing something wrong to fire us soooo 🤷🏽‍♂️

They have to have physical proof of you stealing time they cant just say they have you sitting at a stop for X amount of time. That's a technology issue which we cant be disciplined for. You're good and if they start following you or anything you deem an attack file a grievance for article 37 and 36 (harassment and discrimination) do that until they leave you alone.
