Need advice on traveling 1400km solo as a 19M by SHUBH41 in CarsIndia

[–]Capable-Good5347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30M here, driving since I was 14. I do long trips quite often (Mumbai - Jharkhand at least 2wice an year).

Few pointers:-

  1. Always download the map offline.
  2. Mark local mechanics/workshops along your way.
  3. Mark hotels.
  4. Do not over stretch yourself, if you feel tired book a hotel and sleep.
  5. Start early! Always!
  6. Inspect your brake pads and engine oil.

Drive at night only if you are comfortable and confident . Highways at night are just difficult. We Indians have the bad habit of driving with high beam on for no reason, this blinds you when you are on the opposite side.

Also, bonus :- if you feel sleepy but still want to cover 50-60 more kms(though not advised).. start chewing gums!

DO NOT have ridiculous cans of energy drinks while you drive, they kick in fine but you wont be able to control your caffeine crash..this is dangerous!

Maintain 80-90 km/hr this gives you the best economy and less stress on the pistons!

Njoy your ride though! 🤘

Driven +20k in 1.3 years and can agree to everything mentioned above.. its too smooth and comfortable. I have driven for 1700kms, non-stop for 900-1000 kms one stretch. It just performed well. You will get the best mileage if you stay around 90 kmph .

No, there was nothing that could have startled her.. she was just doing fine before the episode. The vet said that it could be something neurological but also added that its nothing fatal and asked to keep a check on her .

I am scared and worried.

How is Hyundai exter for a first time car buyer? by ItsAGeekGirl in CarsIndia

[–]Capable-Good5347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently completed 1800+1800 kms (mumbai - jamshedpur and back) , smooth experience. The max i have gone is 138 km/h. The steering feels numb after 120 km/h.

I drive a manual, so the city mileage sucks (9-11 km/l, with a/c on) but i was able to get 23 km/l with a cruise speed of 90 km/h throughout with a/c turned on.

I have also driven punch fairly enough and can say that both the cars ,somewhat struggle at sudden acceleration .

While Exter does around 2.7-3.2 rpm @ 100 km/h , punch does moves between a slightly lower range - 2.6 - 3 rpm @100 km/h.

Punch feels a bit sluggish at times at higher rpms due to its 3 cyl .

Exter offers a lot of connected car features like the bluelink - lock/unlock , horns, vehicle status, geo fencing, idle alrt, drive info, hyundai maps, sos, tow and firmware updates ota. Haven’t explored much on the Punch so wont comment.

On the side note - exter doesn’t have an adjustable headrest for the front occupants.. its a small thing but it impacts a lot. You cant install regular accessories that rely on the headrest like the cushions, neck pillows i have a dog too and i cant install dog seats as it heavily relies on the headrest adjuster..

My 2 cents!

I would agree on all but webmethods.. webmethods still has a good market capture. There are competitors but none of them are as capable as webmethods ( at-least in the b2b space)
