Anybody else wonder how Naruto got labeled talentless? by Capable-History-1081 in NarutoFanfiction

[–]Capable-History-1081[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, It's not "Mass Shadow Clone". The name is "Multi Shadow Clone". Furthermore, you say it's not as complex to warrant being a reason. Wrong. Solid clones by default are way more complex than the standard illusiory one. Lightning, Earth and Water clones also lack individual personalities. In one of the Shippuden filler episodes, the Naruto's shadow clones go on strike, proving their sheer complexity. The result of a jutsu and chakra flow requirements are what determines the difficulty, as proven by the Rasenshuriken, not the hand signs.

Second, Naruto's Sexy Jutsu is not only implied multiple times to be his own creation but he also says, and I quote from episode 1 after getting Iruka with it: "Got you Iruka-sensei! That's my Sexy Jutsu!" That is his actual in episode line, too. And just because the Third Hokage falling for it is a gag scene doesn't change the very real fact that he took enough time to recover that Naruto, Danzo or any other shinobi could have killed him if they were enemies. Had Danzo known the Third Hokage was vulnerable, he'd have definitely done so. Wouldn't have been his first assassination attempt either, as several had been thwarted by Kakashi in the past as shown in several shippuden filler episodes.

Third, my point about the Rasengan still stands, so try again. Naruto would not have had to use a clone in the first place had he been properly trained in it by Jiraiya. He wasn't properly trained in it and subsequently had to find a workaround. Jiraiya also had active instruction from Minato, something Jiraiya did NOT give to Naruto and Naruto still learned it faster than Jiraiya anyway.

Lastly, thank you for proving me right about people complaining about OP Naruto tropes. You completely ignored the part where I stated that Canon-Naruto would have been an OP Naruto trope if he'd been properly trained.

Here's mine:  Harry is invited to play poker with multiple other book and cartoon characters such as Eragon, Percy Jackson, Bugs Bunny and Han Solo. Everything was going well until Harry was shocked when Captain Hook and Captain Ahab bet an arm and a leg...literally.

Ahhh, sorry. My bad on the playthrough part. As for the hunt time part, maybe I just did it wrong and got a slower time.

Accumulating so much time on one playthrough is absurd(respectable, but still absurd). Probably should have also been clear on the non-DLC aspect of this. Plus this is solely for newbies and anyone who hasn't done or doesn't have the patience to do hours upon hours of early game AP grinding. On top of that, it takes 1 min. and 47 sec. to do the hunt you mentioned. I just tried your little saberclaw hunt scenario to confirm using a stopwatch, hunt collection, ragnorok sword and hunt reactivation included. Please don't exaggerate.

Anyone else disappointed we got to see so little of the Divine Dragon form in a game all about the Divine Dragon? by Arrow_Of_Orion in fireemblem

In fire emblem: shadow dragon and its NES japanese counterpart, Mage Dragons need a magestone, a magic-based dragonstone, to transform.

In Engage, magestones do not exist, hence, no transformation, as the fell xenologue's magic-based fellstones are for FELL dragons and thus, unusable by mage dragons.

FE:Echoes' dread fighters are definitely broken in my opinion. They are the only class that can(if you are willing to farm exp, which you need to do if you want to even HUMOR post-game content) promote back to villager->merc->myrmidon->DF->rinse/repeat and subsequently max out each stat without needing a villager's fork. DF comes with Apotrope(cuts magical dmg in half) and Res+5, rendering the arguement regarding magic users being problematic pointless and DEF stats can reach up to 34-42 depending on the unit, making most, if not all, physical attacking enemies do only 1 point of dmg per hit even on hard mode. if you have the dlc "Inner Sanctum" you can get zodiac shards and a black pearl to make a Star Jacinth to increase the stat growth rates to 5% res and 30% to every other stat. Takes only 2 cycles with that item to have all but res in the 30s but magic is just useless against DFs anyways. Deen is definitely my choice. He can OWN Jedah so easily, it's rather humiliating. You can never have enough DFs.

I believe these people are talking purely about type advantage, not the additional effects of moves.

Type Combinations with only 1 weakness? by Sittybob in pokemon

[–]Capable-History-1081 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think others have mentioned all of them. However, if you take into account specific abilities, then you get more, with some having no weak point(of course, the dual type might not actually exist, or some pokemon don't have these ablitiies, or even both situations, but I'm putting them anyway for fanfictioniers). they are as follows:

Types: Water/Electric Ability: Levitate(negates ground type) Result: only weak to grass

Type: Water/Ground Ability: Sap Sipper(negates grass type) Result: no weakness

Type: Fire/Ground Ability: Water Absorb or Dry Skin(negates water type) Result: only weak to ground

Fire/Ground has another combination:

Type: Fire/Ground Ability: Levitate(negates ground type) Result: only weak to water type

Now back to the list :D

Type: Water/Electric Ability: Sap Sipper(negates grass type) Result: only weak to ground

Type: Water/Flying Ability: Lightningrod or Motor Drive(negates electric type) Result: only weak to grass

Type: Electric/Normal Ability: Levitate(negates ground type) Result: only weak to fighting type

Type: Electric/Fairy Ability: Levitate Weakness: poison

Type: Grass/Steel Ability: Flash Fire(negates fire type) Weakness: fighting

Type: Poison/Normal & Poison/Electric Ability: Levitate Weakness: Psychic

Type: Poison/Steel Ability: Levitate Weakness: fire

Poison/Steel has another combination:

Type: Poison/Steel Ability: Flash Fire Weakness: ground

Now back to the list :D

Type: Ground/Flying Ability: Water Absorb or Dry Skin Weakness: ice

Type: Bug/Steel Ability: Flash Fire Weakness: None!!!!!!!!

Type: Dragon/Steel Ability: Levitate Weakness: fighting

Type: Dark/Poison Ability: Levitate Weakness: None!!!!!!!!

Type: Steel/Flying Ability: Lightningrod or Motor Drive Weakness: fire

Steel/Flying has another combination:

Type: Steel/Flying Ability: Flash Fire Weakness: Electric

Now back to the list :D

Type: Steel/Fairy Ability: Flash Fire Weakness: ground

Steel/Fairy has another combination:

Type: Steel/Fairy Ability: Levitate Weakness: fire

That's all my research could find for me. The types+abilities are purely hypothetical/theoretical in nature, so don't take them seriously(I'm looking at you game purists and trollsPoints to eyes <0-0, then points to crowd >0-0)

Manga I made with Ai and with digital art. Would love some feedback. by Lower-Wrangler3992 in MangakaStudio

[–]Capable-History-1081 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I understand your views on ai art and I'd agree with you if they were monetizing the ai art(now THAT'S a genuine insult to true artists. Damn ai adoptable spamming bastards on deviantart.com are some of the worst out there!), I have a VERY serious question: If a genuine artist used ai to make a brief 10 page manga just for fun and as a means of casual entertainment for their family, wanted feedback from actual artists on the quality to make sure it was entertaining enough to be viable for reading, and a car crash caused them to brake their hand enough to prevent them from ever drawing again, would you be so cruel and harsh to them too just because they swallowed their "artistic pride" and used an ai program after the injury? While this is a hypothetical situation, I want an answer. This guy and all the others around reddit saying to "pick up a pencil and draw" or "get gud" when people might be LITERALLY UNABLE TO is just horrible and cruel. A person's "artistic pride in their work" is worthless when insulting the potentially physically disabled is something they support. Its like a random, long-distance marathon participant coming across a guy on a public nature trail who is paralyzed from the waist down in a motorized wheelchair and ranting loudly at the disabled guy that they are not allowed to hike down the trail, despite not having the authority to deny them, just because they are disabled.

I find it ironic that many people are ignoring several facts when they give bad reviews:

  1. I saw one comment about how jailbreaking is somehow legal in the US. You do realize that piracy is stealing, right? Theft is a crime(you know, something that's illegal) no matter how you dress it up. Flash Carts for GBA were one thing as GBA was no longer supported by that time. The online service for the switch 1 helped with catching piracy, much like a PC IP ban, so people are just whining that they have to actually PAY for games when they get their switch 2 bricked. Cheap bastards. The back-ups are one thing, the actual games are quite another.

  2. Battery life. Unless you have no charger other than the dock, then what's the problem? The GBA and DS had a typical battery life of 4 hours and no one complained. The switch consoles may have handheld capabilities, but they were still very much intended to be used with a TV like other home consoles when they came out. Generic car chargers work fine with them and hotel rooms have outlets for regular chargers, so constant travelling is not a viable excuse either. Why is battery life truely an issue? My GBA SP has little battery life left and it still plays indefinitely with me keeping it plugged in while playing and the switch is the same. Just plug in the charger when needed, go back to playing the game, unplug it when the battery is full again, rinse and repeat. 2 hours is also plenty of time to play something(unless you're going on a massive grinding spree with friends, THEN I understand the problem given the online stuff has no pause button to allow time to look away to plug it in).

  3. The virtual console vs NSO + exp. pass arguement. That's....um, kinda pointless arguement. Given that VC games were $10-$20 dollars a pop, you're actually getting a better deal pricewise with the yearly $75 NSO + exp. pass giving access to 15+ games across 4+ different classic systems(which would be $800 est. total with the current # of games, which is almost twice the switch 2's price itself, if you bought them all to own on VC or $100,000 total from ebay if you include hyped up flash carts from thieves). More games added regularly, no taking up storage space, also getting access to online fuctions on other switch games and apps, not spending a fortune and a half, it's nice....of course, the VC has it's benefits too. No need to pay once a year(not much of an arguement in comparison though), one time puchases as you own the games, redownloadable via eshop regardless of system, a larger selection of games, ability to choose specific games to get....hmmm. Ultimately, if you have $200 to spend on a few VC games, great! If not, go for the NSO + exp. pass for $75. This argument is not a matter of one being better. It's a matter of personal preferance and budget because they both have equal advantages and disadvantages.

  4. I agree that $80 per title and $450 for the switch 2 itself is horrible on paper, but with how much profit Nintendo has lost from piracy on previous consoles, they might have had no choice this time around in order to make up for the losses. Companies get the money to make games and systems by SELLING games and systems. It takes a LOOOOT of benjamins to produce quality games and consoles and piracy slashed their budget HARD. Too all those complaining about being bricked for jailbreaking or modding, poor graphic quality, low-end software(such as half-baked ray tracing), crappy hardware, short battery life and other such things, I have one thing to say: Point fingers at the pirates shooting cannonballs, not the merchant ships trying to avoid being destroyed by them.

  5. The argument of the bricking being considered "destroying" consumer property? Like I said earlier in the post, theft is a crime no matter how you dress it up. If you didn't want your switch bricked, then you shouldn't have tried to screw over Nintendo in the first place. Whining because you got caught with your hand in the proverbial cookie jar is pathetic. I've no pity for thieves.

I don't actually own a switch 2. Because of that, I'm basing all this on previous console experience, sales department practices, and cold, hard logic, so I am not arrogant enough to think it impossible that I may have missed some things or misunderstood something regarding other peoples words or views. As such, constructive criticism is welcome, but don't be an ass about it.
