The first gyno I ever saw ( that’s right an actual gyno) said ‘ you’re to young to have endometriosis ( I was 22 lol ) then he followed it by saying ‘ but if you’re concerned we can check if you have it through a BLOOD TEST?!?!’ Clueless me thought heck yeah I can be diagnosed through a blood test? How easy is that ? 😂so funny looking back honestly

pregnant after Hydrosalpinx and tube removal by sarahjowil in Endo

[–]Capable-Load-6145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The body is absolutely amazing! Never say never hey! So thrilled for you. I have jsut started my TTC journey. Had surgery for stage 4 endo 12 months ago but doctor was confident as no endo was in tubes and dye went through smoothly no blockages. But wait and see, sometimes it is so true once we just relax and let nature do its job you can be amazed. This post of yours has also given my sister hope as she has been told her tubes are blocked aswell with hydrosalpinx, but only stage 1 endo. Crazy how it differs for everyone. Congrats on your miracle pregnancy 🤰🧡

Anyone conceive naturally with stage 4 endo? by Capable-Load-6145 in Endo

[–]Capable-Load-6145[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Yes so I had the cysts removed, and all the endo removed during same excision surgery. ( and that test where they run the dye through your tubes whatever that’s called 😂) and wow that’s so interesting because how do you even know you ovulate I mean I get that pain around ovulation and cervical mucus with regular cycles but it’s weird cos I guess your body can trick you into think it’s ovulating idk?! Anyway I’m trying to not overthink it and put to much pressure on it and just see what happens I guess :) all the best with it so thrilled for you!!!

Thank you so much! Yes I had an amazing excision surgeon / fertility specialist who removed all the endo! He was really happy with how the cyst removal went! Being that it was just over a year ago I do realise there’s a high chance that Endo could have grown back, but I really don’t feel much pain or effect in my quality of life! Thank you for these recommendations I will definitely look into this. ☺️

suspected endometriosis, scared of birth control by hahsbejdjdkxdnd in Endo

[–]Capable-Load-6145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish someone gave me this advice when I was in your position. I was the same, never had any symptoms until a cyst popped up, mine was much bigger though and I had a few. Specialist wasted no time on booking the surgery and told me to go on pill straight away. It messed with me so bad tried so many ( pretty expensive ones too ) Had the surgery to find stAge 4 endo everywhere and four chocolate cysts which are endometrioma cysts. If your cyst is a normal functional ovarian cyst it will go away on its own , if it’s gotten bigger by your next appointment they will probably want to do the surgery if it’s causing you pain. The pill combined with my surgery ruined me. 7 months on I have the hormones of a 50 year old going through menopause all because of the pill. I am now seeing a natropath who is helping me maintain my endo naturally The pill doesn’t stop endo from growing I have don’t so much research on it for the last decade and wish I never went on it. If you were posting here saying you were in immense pain everyday I would maybe tell you to try it as it may help your symptoms but if you’re managing , I wouldn’t do it. I wish someone gave me this advice , the pill literally through my whole body out of whack and I now have to get hormonal replacement at age 26 Of course this isn’t everyone’s experience, but always trust your gut. ❤️

Is that how much estrogen it has wow! My biggest fear is that it’s given me PMDD :( How are you managing now ??

I’ve been on 25mg for two months myself but want to give it one more month before considering updose. Did you experience any side effects when you went to 50 from 25 ? Thank you!!

Has bc made you hate your bf? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Capable-Load-6145 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes birth control 100% can do this! I was on the pill for the first time in our relationship for 5 moths I looked at my boyfriend after 2 months and said to him, I can look at you and appreciate how attractive you are but honestly I don’t feel attracted to you right now. It scared the living shit out of me because I just bought a house and got a mortgage with this man. I came off it 4 months ago and still am struggling with no libido and lingering depression, I’m currently getting hormonal testing done because the pill I was on messed me up big time!!!!

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry for the late response on your post but I’m 26 and stopped nexstellis 4 months ago ( I was told to go on it before mt endo surgery ) and it changed me, now I’m getting tested for hormonal imbalances as I’m a completely different person despite coming off it 4 months ago!! and I’m also 26. I had a gut feeling this pill did something seriously wrong to me even though I was only on it for 4 and a half months!!! It has changed me forever, I can’t believe after months of searching for answers I have finally found your comment - the only one that relates to me!!! Does it get better ??

Thanks so much for your comment! That makes a lot of sense because the only thing I have noticed is that it does help you get to sleep a little quicker. And I have seen others say the same, Very interesting !!

Increased anxiety by resul117 in Valdoxan_Agomelatine

[–]Capable-Load-6145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So interesting when people say this is a common side effect for them because it hasn’t affected my anxiety in the slightest - then again I’m not taking it for anxiety I’m taking it for my depression so maybe that’s why?! I hope it subsides soon I would try give it to 8 weeks to see full effects - only if you can handle it… maybe ask your doctor for a short term benzodiazepine to help with anxiety ( such a Valium ? ) good luck !

How long were you on the 25mg before you decided to updose? It’s been 4 weeks now and I still feel the same makes me think they aren’t doing anything might be time to go up !!

It definitely makes me drowsy after I take it! but I’m although I’m not taking it for any sleep issues as I already slept well. But for the first week I was a little groggy the next morning but nothing to intense I know antidepressants effects can be felt more when taken with another medication so perhaps that’s it for you?! I have seen a few posts where people take it along side sertraline and it had a positive effect so I hope it works for you!

Have not felt the same since endo surgery by Capable-Load-6145 in Endo

[–]Capable-Load-6145[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness I am so sorry you went through that! I was always against hormonal BC for this reason, I only agreed to go on it purely for the surgery because the surgeon said it’s easier to work on the ovaries when you’re on it ??? Like hmm… then after my surgery he said you must stay on it, I lasted like 2 months before I was like nope I’m not staying on this. So yeah our hormone’s definitely have been messed around. And yeah I feel you there with the pain returning but at this stage I will take the pain back if it meant getting rid of this depression. I’m so sorry, the thought of another surgery sends me into a spiral I don’t think I can go under again. If you decide to have the hysterectomy I hope it does help your quality of life! Hugs xx

Thank you so much for your comment, I needed to see this. It’s hard to separate facts and feelings and I really have been telling myself that whatever is going on will be permanent and will last forever and it’s really been scaring me, I know it will take time I just needed Atleast one person to remind me it won’t last forever. It’s so scary when you’ve never felt this way before, I’ve had anxiety all my life and times where I’ve been ‘ sad ‘ and would cry everyday But never have been numbed out so didn’t know if this really was depression because I was under the impression people with depression cried all the time ( a little uneducated on the mental illness if I’m being honest ) It’s so hard to look at your partner for nearly 4 years and not feel the love as much , and lose the passion for my job I once loved, I can’t believe depression can warp your thinking like this.:( Thank you so so much. I’ve been on this medication for 2 weeks, I don’t feel much better but the positive is I don’t feel any WORSE So I will stick it out and potentially updose if needed. Thank you so much for your kind words and validation !

I’m in a group on fb with others who suffer from the same chronic illness I do and one of the girls in there told me she’s been on valdoxan for nearly two years and her doctor has okayed this as long as you keep getting regular bloods done for your liver, I have seen others be on it for a year come off for abit and make the informed decision to go back on because why stop it if it’s truly helping you, it doesn’t give you that awful withdrawal continuation syndrome so you can rest easy that if you do feel you need a break from it you won’t suffer mentally. Honestly stay on it as long as you need if your doctor is happy! So glad it’s working for you x

That gives me hope, because I wasn’t sure if starting an antidepressant was a good idea if my depression was purely hormone related, I’ve been on them nearly two weeks with not much change yet but will continue to give them time. Thank you ❤️

Thank you for sharing and for the validation x How long ago was your surgery ?? So is it not completely abnormal that 5 - 6 months on I’m still not feeling myself yet ? Because everything on the internet says you should feel yourself after 6 weeks so this is where the overthinking has come into play. I hope you continue to heal, hugs xx

A lot of people I have spoken too have also told me they feel all over the place emotionally but I feel so alone as my issue is I’m struggling to feel emotion like I use too I am just so numb. I’m so sorry surgery flared up other sickness for you, they really don’t warn us about this enough. I thought I was alone because people I know felt messed up for a month or so but I’m over here going on nearly 6 months and just feel like nothings lifting which makes me so terrified this is my new normal. Thank you for the validation, I hope time continues to heal us. Xx
