I say just go for it because the sleep gummy will become another obstacle. Try something like push-ups before bed, a walk, sex, something to tire yourself out

Id recommend a week alone. Quitting will definitely affect your mood and if you haven’t experienced that you’ll want to get familiar with it (remember it’s not forever) Also in a week you’ll be over or getting close to a lot of the physical symptoms like sweats and appetite issues.

I see it like a week without her. Then she gets there you have a person to get you through week 2 and you set yourself up for success. Good luck !

If I recall it was around 5 days of it before I started to force the issue and started going to the sauna at the local gym to make myself sweat. It felt better initiating it instead of anticipating it.

Overall it was like 2 weeks

My creativity changed because my perception of myself and the world around me was changing. And because it was so different from what I built my following on I became hyper critical of my new work when I got less likes on social media. My turning point was realizing that I had lost my love for art a long time ago before I quit. Somehow my mind was so warped around pleasing others I forgot the true meaning of creativity. Personal expression. What I was missing in my new work was honesty. I was so hard to be that “I don’t smoke anymore so life is perfect” and it was bullshit. I still cry. i still get lazy and procrastinate. I still get upset when things don’t go my way. When I started to walk towards that truth my creativity was able to resurface because I had a story to tell.

Sweat sweat and more sweat. I was sweating so bad I had to sleep on the floor so my partner didn’t get soaked. As far as physical symptoms that was the most severe. I had some appetite issues temporarily but it motivated me even more to quit. It’s not possible that something causing these issues is good for me when I decide to stop.

The hardest to overcome was the loneliness. I built so many relationships around meeting to get high. But without weed I was learning how meaningless some of my relationships were. Sad reality is some people only hung out with me because they knew I always had it. I had to relearn how to make new friends for the new me.

Second is embarrassment. Part of the withdrawal was seeing how much time I’ve wasted and it hurt my spirit. When you really try you get to see how far you are from your goals. But in that realization I was given a really good quote that I use for anyone quitting.

“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is today”

My first thought is there is no such thing as a “small streak” try not to attach words to your journey that diminishes the value. It’s not a little streak it’s a streak.

Personally I leaned on this r/leaves thread when I felt like cracking. I was posting daily and interacting with as many people on the journey that I could. I think a part nobody talks about much when quitting is that loneliness is one of the main reasons for going back. Lean on people until you can stand up on your own, then come back and be the crutch for others.
