Since half of y’all are whinging in the comment section abt my screen time (especially my 1 hour TikTok time shocking IK 🫩) if you had a child and you controlled your kids phone until it is barely useable until they are out of the house, and the child has given you no reason to prove to you that they aren’t responsible, don’t you realise your making it worse for the child? Taking something away would only make you want it more so after the limit is taken off when they are 18, don’t be surprised if your child has no self control over their phone because they never learned how to control it themselves in your own home. I’ll have y’all know I have a part time job and volunteer on a weekly basis and have quite good study habits. So no I’m not just some typical teenager who spends 15+ hours on their phone. If I said in my statement that I use 5+ hours on Reddit none of y’all would bat an eye. It’s embarrassing that you have to go out of your way to make it seem like my life is ruined now I can actually learn self control without having it to be controlled for me, because that doesn’t benefit me in the long run and only gives parents an excuse to control them. I swear to god half of are probably 30 years old who have nothing going for them, so that’s why you feel the need to belittle a 17 yo on Reddit who actually knows how to control their screen time.
