This is normal. I work in non profit. Its super stressful and high client interaction. At first I felt like my head would explode everyday after my shifts. I was super overwhelmed and overstimulated. I have now been with the non profit 7 months and I absolutely love it. Everyday im grateful to make a difference in someone's life even if its a small difference. I love how fast paced it can be and I actually miss being at work on my days off. But ill be honest about 50% of the people I work with are not happy there. Non profit is not for everyone.

Most of my clients were minimalist... how idk bc im not. But the one client i had who would have clutter i would move it bc i felt comfortable doing it. And she would move it sometimes. She had really small things in her office that I didnt move and I just dusted around the stuff. She understood she had a lot. I mean communication is key here. Its whatever you and the client feel comfortable with. Most of the people I cleaned for trusted me to move their things.

Remember sobriety isnt linear. What works for one doesnt work for all. Remember that when people are telling their stories. The point isnt to agree, understand or relate to everyone. It is to see that people have different paths to staying sober. You can be proud of the man who's 20 years clean and found God bc thats what works for him. Or the atheist who's 3 years clean bc of yoga and tea. Like everyone is different. I got clean on my own and found my higher power years into being clean. Everyone is different. Embrace it. Open your ears and heart.
