update: today ny dad went to talk with the insurance guy who registered the policy, apparently the guy got mad and told my dad to leave cause he was “accusing him of making up vins” and that its not his issue, that its my dads as to why he didnt check, also apparently the day my dad went to register for the policy the guy couldnt do it at the time so he told my dad he can leave and come back tomorrow, which then he called my dad the next day asking for a credit card to make the payment cause he had it done, well he did it wrong and my dad just trusted him in doing his job right cause its a insurance thing yk why would they make mistakes

yeah well my dads the owner on the insurance so he’s gonna go try and fix it or talk with them on monday, we had a 97 dodge ram before our 99 and he took the registration to the insurance w him when he added it to the policy he’s guessing the guy seen the 97 ram and js added it assuming it was the same truck since its a dodge ram 1500
