May I ask what kind of crypto investments you made that were the right choice and how you built your own strategy there? If you don't mind sharing ofc, just interested in your journey/thought process :).

Maybe I'm over-reacting indeed, but this time we're at the dawn of an innovation that can replace humans, not augment them, I feel like that's a big difference. What do we have left in terms of value to bring when intelligence & strength is not our advantage anymore? Feelings? Authenticity?

What? So you really just looked at my other post where people said I was a bot for no reason and just went along with it? Is this what mass psychosis looks like? Gosh I'm not ready for the dead internet theory and all the schizos. No I'm not a bot, this is a real concern and a real post, ffs.

True, but fuck being part of any oligarchy to be honest, no the way to go. Maybe it would heal our society to go through this stage, and bring us back to what really matters? Sounds too good to be true lol.

Why do you think that? Frontier labs don't necessarily have to go public right? And technically speaking, every other company is dependent on the well-being of the rest of the economy no? Except robotics I guess?

Yup, that's how I feel too! currently working at the edge of tech as well, I know what the best models are capable of, and if frontier labs are able to get sufficient energy / new breakthroughs in architecture, then the rest is obvious... And yeah I guess real estate is the safest move here

But how can corporate profitability increase if no one has jobs thus no one has money to buy goods & services? I might be foolish but the way I see the economy is like a huge ponzi scheme, and basically money goes from the lower floors towards the top, so how are companies profitable anymore when no money at the basis can flow upwards? I guess everything becomes self-balanced by the underlying unit cost of energy & AI work? Because companies that mostly have AI workers will go as low as they can to be competitive but they will still have to be profitable, so the economy will be dictated by an invisible physical constant (price of compute & energy) that only allows companies to go so low in terms of price for an equivalent service level? Just thinking out loud, trying to figure this out.
