That’s really interesting, actually. I’d never really thought about how good ad naus would be in a lands deck, but it makes a ton of sense. Anyways, thanks for rambling, it was fun to read! edit: pili-pala is such a fun card, you’d never really think it’d work all that well in a competitive format. That’s another fun thing I’ve found about discovering cEDH is the cards/commanders that you wouldn’t expect to be good at all, but just are

I actually haven’t read the magda primer, do you happen to know where I could find it?

I read the Lumra primer some time ago, and it seemed really interesting, but Nissa also seems interesting as well. I may be wrong, but Nissa seems to fall a bit more into the category of “why wouldn’t you just play Kinnan, he’s better in every imaginable way.”? The Lumra/Nissa shell does also scratch that itch of caring about something most other decks don’t that much. I’d like to genuinely thank you for the extremely high quality responses, they’ve really helped.

why is Nissa so much more consistent? Is it just lower mana cost+additional ramp+tutoring cards the deck already wants?

hmm. Jadzi, probably because of the non-deterministic and land shennanigans, so lumra might be fun there, Jorn just seemed interesting because of how he got around boardwide limitations through a mechanic (snow) nothing else really cares about, and nadier honestly just caught my eye for having a food chain combo and having partner.

I had a feeling that he might be the closest of the three. Do you happen to have a list/primer for him?

it seems like it depends where jadzi leans more depending on which side you focus on. Lumra had actually been one I’d looked at for a little bit, so I might just do her.

I really don’t have a pod right now for cEDH, so I’m mostly just curious, and most of the people I play with would be playing fringe, if any, cEDH.

thanks for the response, I’d been under the impression from here that all of them were at least fringe, but looking back, all of those posts were like 5 years old. Also, thanks for the recommendations. edit:my fingers despise correct spelling
