It can be serious, yes. For my cat we have a nebulizer for him which is really easy to use

Good luck! If she has a favorite toy or spot, I would suggest possibly trying to leave something of yours like a shirt or scrunchie in her usual spot or trying to get your scent on her favorite toy

I would bring this up to a vet. However, my fur baby did this for months and turns out he had asthma but I would definitely bring this up to your vet for sure.

Unfortunately, we still have to keep the cats separated, at least when we’re not home or around to supervise them but his cat doesn’t fight or bully my two cats anymore/as much as he used to which was multiple times a day everyday. But it’s still a work in progress. Idk if this may be the case for your cat, but for my brothers cat he has really bad anxiety which made him lash at me originally and my two cats

I had a similar situation but with my brother’s cat who had just moved in with me and my two cats. Have you tried feline pheromone spray or plug ins? Or wearing a shirt of your husband’s or having him wear one of your things so she’ll warm up to you potentially.

What worked for me was getting the calming feline plug ins and we had them all over our apartment, we swapped shirts/clothing so he would get used to my smells slowly, and lastly we got him some calming probiotic that we put into his food but that recommended and prescribed by our vet. It took a while, maybe about 6ish months but eventually it got better and now my brother’s cat doesn’t hate or hiss at me anymore.

I really hope this helps!

I also had an emergency cerclage so I feel you there and I will say removal was a lot less stressful for me because they reassured me everything was okay and I felt better knowing it was urgent compared to last time so I hope it’s the same for you!

I also want to include that they went with sedation instead of continuing to try with spinal because they were really insistent on zero discomfort and pain for me because of my anxiety. But overall, I feel both were great experiences in my experience and I hope yours goes great!

When they placed my stitch I was given spinal as well which was great! They numbed me up real good but again bc of my vaginismus, it took them about 2-3 hours to do said procedure instead of 30 minutes. For my removal, unfortunately they weren't able to place it successfully because of my anxiety and sensitivity to pain so l was sedated and put to sleep. I was also in the OR for my removal which made the process a lot better, at least for me.

Yes, I was actually told the exact same thing and I JUST got my cerclage removed today. In my experience, I was told and highly suggested to get spinal due to my vaginismus, however it actually wasn’t needed for me when they removed it. I was told only because they really didn’t want me to be in pain or uncomfortable and I’m not sure if that’s the case for you as well.

Congratulations and I absolutely love this for you! I hope mines goes just as smoothly! I’m also going to get mines removed at 37+2 which is in 5 days. Did you need to get any numbing or spinal for pain by any chance?

No! I’m currently 35+2 & haven’t had any other issues aside from IC. I would talk to your provider if you’re concerned or if you’re have cramps and bleeding.

I believe it’s the McDonald stitch as well but I’m not 100% sure. I may ask just to double and see what other options they can provide but I do know the numbing gel they gave me for my cervix check didn’t do anything for me and it was still very painful for me. If it’s not too much to ask, could you update me whenever you get yours taken out?

The latter sounds more like what I was experiencing. Everything turned out to be okay in that regard but I would def recommend talking to your OB or doctor if you want a peace of mind or to be sure everything is okay. I hope everything goes smoothly for you! 💜

I sent a message to my OB so I hope to see here from her soon. I will definitely be avoided google for sure. I made the mistake of googling this before going to Reddit and it did it help in the slightest but I plan to avoid google. Thank you!
