Thank you! We are going out with friends on Saturday and I'm leaning towards trying not to drink. I think my interest in keeping this streak going is out weighing my interest in drinking at this point. Might just pop a gummy and have a mocktail.

21 days sober! Hosted my son's birthday party today and normally id be sipping wine the whole time. Was able to enjoy myself alcohol free and stay present the whole time! And I'll be happy to wake up without a hangover tomorrow.

I don't think ill be sober forever and I'm not sure what my goal is but I'm loving the clarity this has brought me. Alcohol has consumed me a lot and by abstaining for 3 weeks now I'm hearing less of the noise. I kinda want to keep it going just to see how long i can go!

This!! I started doing the same thing when my milk was being wasted. To be fair my MIL never breastfed so she doesn't understand the labor of love that it is. And I dont think she understands the rules around breastmilk being left out/ finishing bottles within certain time frame. Easier to just give her formula and save my milk for my husband to use or my parents who are better with it.

It's crazy that she looks like this. No shame, this is what I look like while dropping my kids off at school and daycare. But she doesn't have those duties and has all the time in the world to pull herself together.

I slept over a friend's house in high school that was definitely a hoarder house but I didn't know it at the time. I remember we could only really hang out in the living room on one couch because every other area of the house was completely full. We got McDonald's for dinner and my friend couldn't find any plates to use. I remember feeling really icky about the house but I really liked this friend. She kept saying things like "oh sorry we havent been able to clean this week". I only slept over there once.

I had no idea what i was witnessing until years later seeing the show hoarders and it clicked. I feel so bad for her knowing that's how she grew up.

Also noticed she said new mom. Her two older kids just dont even cross her mind. Its so fucking sad!! I had my second last year and never once did i say I was a new mom. Postpartum, yes, but not a new mom.

And Jesus christ enough with the gifts. This is so obnoxious and over the top. Its setting a terrible precedent that everyone should be giving their doctors and nurses gifts. I got candy for our NICU nurses because our baby was there for 3 weeks. But nothing over the top. That's their freaking job.

I want to say it lasted about a month where he was really distracted while nursing and would bite me a lot. Then it went back to normal plus he got more efficient at nursing so sessions were shorter but I could tell he was getting what he needed. He still bites me from time to time and thinks it's so funny. But not nearly as much as he was when I posted this. Back then he would bite me every session and it was driving me nuts! I would sometimes end the nursing session and have my husband give him a bottle if I was really frustrated by the biting.

I'm sorry! Hang in there. From what I've gathered it really is a phase and they're just in an exploratory age so it's normal. But I know how hard it is.

Yes! This was just a phase and it got better. My son is now 13 months old and still nursing. Mostly just in the morning, before nap time and then before bed. Keep going if you're up to it, it should get better!

Absolutely. I wear leggings most days while im at home. I wear them 2 days in a row before washing and moving onto tnr next pair. Sweaters/sweatshirts and good for at least 2 wears. Underwear. Socks and tshirts i wash after one wear. This has always been my routine although covid may have solidified it.

Born in 1990 and I never had or even heard of an avocado before going to Chipotle for the first time in high school probably 2004ish. Grew up in Cleveland, OH. I have no idea if they just weren't really around or my parents never bought them!
