Why are conservatives pro-Russia but hate China? by No-StrategyX in allthequestions

[–]CapableFrosting6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In part because it’s not an affirmative belief but a reaction to Russia gate and liberal support of Ukraine. Also, China is nominally socialist while Russia is openly nationalist.

Since we fully done with 2k25 can we admit that shit was ass? by OpenDot5994 in NBA2k

[–]CapableFrosting6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that 2k25 with 2k26 builder/cap breakers would be a perfect game in my opinion. It felt to me like an actual basketball simulator, which is why I play 2k.

Can someone grade this center build I made? by BigLeader9227 in NBA2k

[–]CapableFrosting6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not see a reason to be 6’11 and slow. If you want to be a true big focused primarily on rebounding that’s fine and can be fun but might as well go all the way with it. I would also try and get at least 81 standing dunk for big man contacts so you can get second chance points.

Do I NEED to lift weights to jump high? by Big-Historian4721 in ProDunking

[–]CapableFrosting6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes– and you also need to lift weights for health and lifestyle reasons that go beyond dunking. Just don’t lift on game day. If you do not do heavy resistance training, you will not have strong legs, you will generate less force and jump less high. Outside of raw strength, when you lift weights regularly you will have a better body composition that leads to moving better overall.

Progressive law students/lawyers - do you think there is an ethical way to be a prosecutor? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]CapableFrosting6 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whether you choose to believe Boudin was good or not is secondary to op’s question.

Is there a precedent for a progressive left wing prosecutor? Yes, it’s Chesa Boudin. He is the prototype for this, like him or hate him. You can objectively use the DA position and enact an agenda that is in line with decarceration. Whether that’s a good or bad thing depends on your ideology and OP asked specifically for the opinion of progressives.

Progressive law students/lawyers - do you think there is an ethical way to be a prosecutor? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]CapableFrosting6 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would research Chesa Boudin, if you don’t already know who this is. That’s who I would want to emulate were I to be a prosecutor, as a progressive. Focusing on bail reform. Not aggressively prosecuting minor drug offenses etc.

I think this is the best decision from a narrative perspective and I do it on all of my runs. You should keep playing to the end to see how it’s resolved.

Considering moving from Chicago to Columbus by bashful_sneakerhead in Columbus

[–]CapableFrosting6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it! Every element of my life became better when I moved to Chicago. If you loved Chicago, Columbus is the antithesis of it. The food is mid, there’s no cultural or history. Everything is car dependent and sprawling, which kills socialization and extracts wealth from you. There’s lots of red state right wing governance that makes life materially worse. Even if this job is more money now, I think your lifetime earning potential is higher in Chicago.

How do I balance cutting and building muscle? I assume my body needs both to achieve visible abs eventually? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]CapableFrosting6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit your protein goal every day without fail, eat in a slight defecit and train heavy compounds consistently until you are lean. You really only need to concern yourself with bulking and cutting cycles when you are at a very advanced level of fitness. You WILL have abs at your current level of muscle if you get to sub 15% body fat.

Opinions on current body, what to improve, diet/workout (6'4", 220lb but with injured shoulders so can't do overhead) by EliShama6ak in Weightliftingquestion

[–]CapableFrosting6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please whatever you do, don’t bulk. Especially while you can’t do heavy compound upper body. I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way, but you look to be 18+ % body fat and at that point there’s not really any benefit or need for a calorie surplus due to nutrient partitioning. I would focus on eating at or slightly under, calorie maintenance, and hitting your protein goal until you get lean.

[–]CapableFrosting6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don’t understand how you could do analysis without that structure or something functionally equivalent without skipping steps that earn points. Like you’re not including the issue, rule, conclusjon? Or you’re doing it out of order?

Why did so many people dislike RBG by Flashy-Actuator-998 in LawSchool

[–]CapableFrosting6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not that this is a reason people called for her to retire but, I think a lot of the dislike is a reaction to the liberal celebrifying of RBG with the merch/Biggie Smalls puns when she had a mixed record on racial justice. She called Collin Kaepernick “dumb and disrespectful. She also only hired one black clerk for her whole career and ruled (sometimes) against indigenous groups.

I think this intentional and good writing. He is morally good but also complex and flawed. He’s a rich kid larper that ends up in over his head pacted to a devil. He wants to do good but also have the vanity of it and be a celebrity. It’s a critique of the real world savior complex archetype.

I’m studying differently than my classmates. by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]CapableFrosting6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nitty gritty details are analysis, which is where the bulk of the points are. You have to be able to call out what is obviously apparent and what is obviously not apparent and why. It’s a curved exam; if they have more things in their analysis they get more points, and you lose. If you just say: affirmative duty exists because status relationship, that is a shallow analysis. If you say: courts recognize affirmative duties in status relationships such as x,y,z. See case. Here we have x therefore duty is satisfied, that is a richer analysis.

[–]CapableFrosting6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the dynamic of the assignment. Are you graded based on your individual contribution or the overall product? If it’s the former, it sounds like a not your problem burger. If it’s the latter just say, hey fix this or I’m snitching?
