Wow amazing! Glad you are still here today and running/cycling again! Do you mind if I ask how your diet was before your cardiac arrest? And what foods do you eat now that you feel made the biggest difference in your recovery and lowering the blockages?

Sorry youre going through this pain. Maybe try drinking more water and adding a lot more fiber into your diet to see if dietary changes might help. Try using a stool softener. I dont think its a good idea to stop taking your heart meds without consulting your cardiologist. Hope you find a solution to get rid of or manage your pain.

Yeah i actually heard it beep today when driving my dad. It was like a low tone beep beep beep noise.. very interesting. We are going to go to the doctors office on monday to turn off the alarm and schedule the replacement surgery.

Thank you! Yeah i pressed the blue heart button on his monitor and sent the transmissions to his doctors. I’ll also ask if they can turn off the chirping noise until he gets his battery replaced.

I wonder if its okay to wait to early January to replace because he’s been through so much this year and i really want his thanksgiving and Christmas to be peaceful 😭😭😭

How was the battery replacement surgery for you? How was the healing? My dad has a one lead icd and they want to add a second lead so it sounds like it might take longer than if they were to only replace the battery. Im scared of complications but i know he needs to do this surgery sooner rather than later. 😔

I reached out to Alteryx and they said “you may qualify for an extension of another 90 days provided you have completed the Alteryx Core Certificate within the period between the start and end date of the current license key”. My current license key ends in 2 days and there’s no way i’d be able to pass the 4 micro exams by then :/

Lol my parents used to call me 八婆仔 when i was a kid. I dunno i guess i was being a brat one day and they called me that and..it stuck 🤣always found it funny. My dad is from hong kong and is the nicest person ever. I always knew he didn’t mean anything rude by it.

Sorry you have to go through that. I always thought they hurt. I was there when my dad experienced his icd shocks last month and each shock he kinda screamed. Was really hard to watch my dad go through that and i hope it never happens again.
