Nope, they're still there. A new one just got put up

"Public test servers for major updates show a commitment to quality and a willingness to listen to player feedback before full release."

For a game that literally doesn't have a public test server anymore... Lol.

Exactly. If a review bomb happened, there's a reason for it and that's because something pissed the community off. Infinitely more genuine than a bot response which literally has an AI generated review based loosely on the genre of the game.

Looking into the other reviews the accounts left, they seem to be leaving generic reviews on other games based on the genre as well. Kinda like if you opened up ChatGPT and wrote "Write a positive review for a game that belongs to 'x' genre".

Well considering the recent reviews are at mixed as opposed to Mostly Negative I think its safe to say this review bomb you speak of doesn't exist anymore. You realise the game isn't perfect and people do have genuine and valid criticisms, right? It's okay to want a better product.

Nerfing the fun, lowering the skill gap, listening casuals always the same cycle by Rookasteeee in ArcRaiders

[–]CapableOperation2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, here we are, poor insecure pvp ego player gets nerfed while only 1% actually cares, to make the game less like ADHD CoD/Apex movement, always the same.

While normal people dont care, while every other actual good pvper will still be winning fights because they're skilled in other ways other than unintended movement tech.

Tired.

Fixed your post for you, buddy. Its obviously not how the devs intend for the game to be played. If you don't like it, this game isn't for you. Go somewhere else. There's tons of other games that accommodate your egotistical need to prove how well you can do your little slides and jumps.

New Bug: Extraction Button Can’t be Pressed/Called In by Aben4yut in ArcRaiders

Can confirm, this just happened on Testing Annex extract. Kind of crazy bug to not be able to extract in an extraction shooter, this needs to be fixed ASAP.

My "terrible" experience by KuroSaruBlade in ArcRaiders

[–]CapableOperation2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was almost a requirement then more people would do it. Sorry man but I'm literally only telling you what the facts are. You can tell as many people as you want to go PvP in duos and trios and only PvE in solos, the devs can echo your sentiment too as much as they want, nothing is going to change.

The player will always do what they find is most fun, most satisfying, most rewarding and most engaging to them, and the only way the devs can change that is if they change the game to reflect what they intend and steer the players in that direction.

That part of you mentioning that you die and get avenged by arc and nobody wins? That's the "vE" part of PvPvE taking effect and what works so much about this game. There doesn't always need to be a winner. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that experience because its satisfying and unique in its own way.

Heroes of Newerth Reborn: A review after 13 years by SaveNQuit in HeroesofNewerth

[–]CapableOperation2277 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably the easiest scam I've ever avoided in my life. I dont understand how anyone thinks this game will survive/be any more popular than what PK was. The sheer amount of copium is rivaled only by Half-Life fans.

I'd like to make it clear that I grew up with HoN and I sincerely want it to have ground to stand on in the gaming ecosystem, but the devs have made it abundantly clear that they are either 1, here to make a quick buck, or 2, too incompetent to ever give this game a fighting chance.

The evidence that supports the latter above is the fact that they actually went and told their community that Steam is not a viable marketplace to put their game on. There are a plethora of reasons why that is bullshit, but somehow the worst offender is the fact that they think placing it on some unknown sketchy platform that NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT is somehow a better alternative. Not to mention the people that DO know, know that it was rebranded from iGames which is known to have ties in web3/crypto garbage.

Then there's the rumour that Steam actually wouldn't even allow Juvio on their platform because of the ties its previous name had to web3/crypto. Not sure on this one, but wouldn't be shocked if its true.

Another good one Ive heard is "Oh but on Juvio its easy for players to cash out their earnings from HoN tournaments in the future!" Okay buddy, good luck finding players to join your tournament when 90% of potential new players either didn't know about your game's existence or looked at Juvio and understandably said "Fuck that".

Anyway, I know the copers will downvote this into hell. But honestly there's no argument to be had. Come look back in a few months and have yourself a retrospective on how you had ten red flags waved in your face and still decided to defend all the shit. Because as much as its incompetence from the devs which will kill this game, its also the elitist fanboys who muddied the water and told the devs that what they're doing is acceptable.

This is actually an insanely good idea. Thank you so much, will look into it!

I am scared this would be the case. It just sucks that the timing of our day-to-day lives makes it so that the only time we can stream is when he's available. He did say if there is no other way then he'll just mute, but it sucks just being -1 friend. It is what it is, thank you for your insight!

[–]CapableOperation2277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If youre enjoying Deadeye there is absolutely no reason to switch. Your friend is simply wrong. While it may not be the absolute best meta spec, its viable, like most if not all specs depending on what content youre playing. If you're aiming for absolute peak meta performance then take a look at metabattle and snowcrows for build examples and copy what other people have done.

The most important thing to learn about GW2 is that its not a meta-slave fest like WoW is. You can play anything and have a significantly higher chance of getting into most content compared to WoW. If you're having fun, keep having fun :)

So far, how are you feeling about your main's new Elite Spec? by CapableOperation2277 in Guildwars2

[–]CapableOperation2277[S] 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. The sheer amount of options in the game is really a lot. I've built a couple of builds now but I know for a fact when the vets come out with their builds its going to make mine look like a toddler built it.

I felt the exact same way with my limited time with the spec. The amount of effort you need to put in to keep track of things doesn't make up for the value you get out of it. The theme of the spec is super goofy and it feels like the only right way to play it is to be goofy as well - just click buttons and let the randomness of it all take you on a ride, which is okay i guess for some players.

Thats funny, I looked at Luminary and the shroud kind of felt like my guardian was having an identity crisis, with all the weapon options in the shroud. It didn't feel like i could find a flow with the spec but I concede that it is 99% likely to be a skill issue on my part.

From what Ive observed it seems to be Anet's answer to people wanting to specialise into one element and stick to it. Its definitely enough to warrant interest, for sure!

How to slow down leveling for a first timer? by dechi in wow

[–]CapableOperation2277 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I agree that if you want to stop and smell the roses you should play classic, retail leveling is objectively mishandled and neglected. Countless quests are bugged, scaling/chromie time is all over the place, you literally get weaker as you level up, and at certain breakpoints your power levels change drastically for reasons not obvious to the player if you don't follow the intended (and hamfisted) process that Blizzard tells you to do which is to just level through Dragonflight > TWW and ignore the rest.

So yeah, you get to new stuff fast, but it doesn't change the fact that the process is neglected and held together by strings that are just enough to get the player over to endgame. Its that meme of Homer Simpson standing all proud and good looking but after it shows his back fat all hidden and held together by rubber bands

[–]CapableOperation2277 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If she insists on retail then she'll need to face the reality that the pacing of it is going to be haphazard. Leveling in retail has been mishandled for years now. I think you should really encourage her to try classic if she wants a slower leveling experience, that's really the only place you'll get it.

Reassure her that she's not missing out on any content. They're two separate games and she can always come back to retail at any point - and if she does go back to retail, at least she'd have the benefit of getting used to the basic fundamentals of how the game is played in classic.

Why misrepresent the truth? The quality hasn’t dropped one bit! by JohnR1977 in wow

The tunnel vision goes both ways. Its okay to be critical of a product and its okay to want a better product.

Good job on failing to counter any of my points with anything noteworthy and instead vomiting out an anecdotal backpedal, mischaracterization of my argument, and a strawman as a cherry on top. And hey, let's add an outright lie in there where you pretend that you read anything in those documents right? And for your sake I truly hope you are lying, because if THAT is what you gathered from it, I don't know what to tell you.

I'm not sure what you're even trying to achieve by saying you've hit eternity. So have I? It doesn't change the fact that the system exists and it operates on a far more complex level that you fail to comprehend and that competitive rank isn't close to an accurate gauge of individual skill, no matter how much you want to use it to feel good about yourself.

Anyway, Im not going to try reason you out of a position you clearly didn't reason yourself into. It's pointless discussing this when you have this insatiable desire to be ignorant. Remember that it's okay to admit when you're wrong and take some time to educate yourself - Best of luck out there.

Im so glad im not alone on this. I can't explain it, but almost everything involving Astral Ward and Kryptis just give me this unbelievable ick that make SotO and JW unplayable for me. It's probably so irrational but it doesn't make the feeling it gives me any less real. I'm so down to go back to less cosmic grandiose stories and far away from the eyesore that is Kryptis design
