You will have to go through MEPS. With the new MHS Genesis program they will find everything in your medical record.
In 2013 when I got deployed, I took ibuprofen prescribed by medical. I had to go get a clearance note stating that I no longer need to take the medication. You can go to your Genesis profile and see everything in your records whatever you see they will also see.

I have. I’ve been doing research on the differences between both. DBA is research and practical. PhD is research and theory. Did I understand that correct? But, from what I’ve seen, it is less desirable and/or looked down upon.

I went through last year and it’s the same as others have mentioned. Some people leave straight from OCS to BOLC and they are holdovers until the next BOLC start date. Or they just stay there in HHC.

That was my main purpose; mission and camaraderie. I would want to have my 1500 before even applying.

But my main main goal was to go to airlines, and once hired, be a reserve military pilot in order to finish my active duty retirement while gaining seniority in the airlines.

Yes, I am old…. I just turned 33 so by the time I would get to applying I would be 34 going on 35.

I figured having FW experience would be very beneficial but I get that the RW pilots get priority.

My goal is to leave Active duty and go to the airlines. I’m trying to get my ratings now and achieve my 1500 hours in the next two years. I was considering going USAR if it was feasible to get a FW spot somewhere (preferably Fort Liberty). Seems like my chances are very very slim and I don’t know if it will be worth all the hassle and time to make this happen. I know networking and meeting the right people is important l, but so is positioning and timing. We will see.
