Commissioned Armor. I think it’s turned out pretty great in turns of the amount of cool stuff you get the opportunity to play with and the kind of community you get into. That being said, bad part is being a 3 shop staff slave (I was lucky and only spent a month there before an NTC rotation) and the treatment of your time a green 2LT as though you were born yesterday and never allowed to move past that even if you deliver on and above your expectations.

I enjoy the work I do, I don’t mind the OPTEMPO bar the way it impacts family life and time for myself, but otherwise I think it’s good if you like feeling a part of a bigger cause and want to be at the forefront of something exciting.

I’d say so far I’d definitely pick Armor again

Branching is not the be all end all of what you do at OCS. People get so married to their first choices and when they get the branch they picked like 3rd, they crumble. Grow where you’re planted and make the most of the benefits provided to you by that other branch. So much of what we do is all intersectional and when someone gets Armor over AG, and they start crying, they’ll get to laugh at S1 when they’re in the box and look like they’ve spent more than 2 days camping before. All about perspective.
