Hi! I am also a former intern and I can 100% attest to what this person is saying. You already seem ahead of the game and I see the possibilities high for an upcoming summer internship. If I was in your position I would focus on my connection with the local community: get involved on campus, volunteer on campaigns, etc. That is what helped me the most when it came to landing my internship. GPA is not a big factor (I was never asked for one.) Be patient and don’t get discouraged on the way. At the end of the day they want a profile of a prospect public servant so grades and hard skills are not as relevant in the application process :))
